97% of children excluded at primary school had a special educational need or disability. NINETY SEVEN PERCENT. The number of under 6 year old’s excluded is staggering. This has long lasting damage on a child’s educational journey. These statistics are not ok.

People reeaalllly like to suggest better coping skills for autistic, ADHD, and otherwise ND folks. But what if your ND person is being expected to “cope” with more than they can reasonably be expected to?

We know social media can harm kids - adults too. I try to model screen usage as a purposeful tool, but it's an uphill battle when corporate interests in government push them into education at all levels. Online learning is not a solution for all students.

Lol, I was eligible to skip multiple grades and passed on MIT to go to Harvey Mudd for math & CS. The reason why? I was undiagnosed autistic & ADHD. Most (all?) exceptionally smart people have undx'd disabilities, which leads to crashing and burning out in our 30s...
