In 1919 a New York physician got so fed up with watching his patients get worse that he went to a museum to ask the dead for advice.
His name was Blake Donaldson. He had a practice full of people who were overweight, ill, and getting steadily worse no matter what the medicine of the day threw at them, and he had run clean out of ideas. So he walked into the American Museum of Natural History, found the anthropologists, and asked them the question no respectable doctor was supposed to ask. What did healthy humans actually eat before all of this?
They showed him the skulls. Ancient ones. Pre-agricultural ones. And the teeth stopped him in his tracks. No decay. No crowding. No abscesses. Rows of clean, strong, untroubled teeth belonging to people who had never met a dentist, a toothbrush, or a sack of flour. The anthropologists told him about the Plains hunters who lived on buffalo, and about pemmican, the dense brick of dried meat and rendered fat that carried men through a North American winter on next to nothing else.
Donaldson went back to his surgery and did something that would get a modern doctor hauled in front of a committee. He put his patients on meat.
Fat meat, specifically. Roughly six ounces of lean with two ounces of visible fat, three times a day, from beef or lamb. Coffee. Water. That was the prescription. He stripped out what he called the worst offenders, the flour and the sugar and the sweet milk, and he watched what happened.
What happened was they got better. The weight came off without hunger, because he insisted they eat enough and eat often. The blood pressure settled. The gallstones, the migraines, the aching joints, the sour stomachs, the whole catalogue of modern complaints he had been failing to shift for years began, quietly, to resolve. He kept going. By the end he had run something like seventeen thousand patients through this regime over roughly forty years, which is a working lifetime of evidence rather than a passing fad.
He wrote it down in a book called Strong Medicine in 1961.
The establishment's response was swift and familiar. One prominent figure pronounced the book hardly scientific. Another filed Donaldson under food faddism and implied he had simply forgotten whatever he once knew about nutrition. A man with forty years of patient outcomes was waved off by people armed with a theory and a grievance, and the profession moved smoothly on to the low-fat advice that has served us so brilliantly ever since.
He was not a guru and never pretended to be one. He thought he was just copying what those museum skulls had been quietly demonstrating for ten thousand years, which is about the most honest thing a doctor has ever said about diet.
The book is still in print. The skulls are still in the case. And the advice that buried him is still printed on the side of the cereal box.

🇷🇺🇺🇸 Putin and Trump spoke by phone for 55 minutes at Russia's initiative. Putin congratulated Trump on his 80th birthday.
According to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov, Trump expressed support for the earliest possible end to hostilities in Ukraine and signalled readiness to press Kiev and European partners toward a settlement — in line with Moscow's position that the Alaska talks produced an agreement ending the war on terms requiring AFU withdrawal from Donbass.
Putin told Trump that Zelensky "should not forget the tragedy of the Holocaust" — a likely reference to the reburial of OUN leader Andrey Melnik, whom European organisations accuse of complicity in the Holocaust.
Trump informed Putin that a US-Iran deal is close and could be announced as early as today.
The two leaders agreed that US special envoys Witkoff and Kushner will visit Russia soon.
On a potential Putin-Zelensky meeting, Putin's position remains unchanged: "If Zelensky wants a meeting, let him come to Moscow."
Putin also accused the AFU of striking Russian civilian infrastructure, adding that such strikes "will not change the situation on the battlefield."

Przemysł spożywczy wykorzystuje wodór amonowy jako środek antybakteryjny, co pozwala McDonald's na stosowanie w hamburgerach mięsa nienadającego się do spożycia przez ludzi.
Jeszcze bardziej alarmujący jest jednak fakt, że substancje na bazie wodoru amonowego są uznawane za „legalne składniki procesu produkcyjnego” w przemyśle spożywczym na całym świecie, za zgodą organów ochrony zdrowia. Konsumenci nigdy nie dowiedzą się zatem, jakie substancje znajdują się w ich żywności.

Confutare l'ovvio è diventata la vera sfida intellettuale di questi tempi. Finché non verrà ripristinato l'ordine naturale e reale delle cose non potrà esserci progresso. Dopo il regresso del secolo scorso risalire la china costerà tempo e risorse.
Ha dichiarato il generale Vannacci che "il femminicidio non esiste". Apriti cielo! Si è sollevato, come prevedibile, un polverone immenso, dovuto al fatto che il generale ha toccato un punto saldissimo del pensiero unico politicamente corretto ed eticamente corrotto. Ho già ricordato infinite volte che del generale non condivido il liberismo, l'atlantismo e il posizionamento secondo lo schema dicotomico di destra e sinistra. Ciò non di meno, quando egli dice qualcosa di sensato, non si può non essere d'accordo e sarebbe disonesto intellettualmente negarlo. Ma procediamo con ordine e, direbbe il vecchio Cartesio, lumine naturali. Di per sé, la parola femminicidio indicherebbe l'uccisione di un essere umano di sesso femminile e si contrapporrebbe quindi a "maschicidio", ossia all'uccisione di un essere umano di sesso maschile. Non basterebbe dunque la parola omicidio per alludere all'uccisione di un essere umano in quanto tale, a prescindere dal sesso? Proprio qui si innesta subdolamente l'ideologia del capitalismo contemporaneo, il quale lascia intendere, per un verso, che gli uomini uccidano le donne e in tal guisa prova a dirottare lo sguardo dalla lotta di classe tra sfruttati e sfruttatori verso una inesistente lotta di genere orizzontale tra maschi e femmine, dove i maschi diventano gli sfruttatori e le femmine le sfruttate. La visione manicomiale sottesa a questo discorso è quella per cui ogni essere umano di sesso maschile sarebbe un femminicida in pectore. Ovviamente siffatta concezione manicomiale trascura il fatto, di per sé evidente, che una grande parte degli esseri umani di sesso maschile è contraria agli omicidi e alla violenza in genere e, a maggior ragione, di genere. Esistono d'altro canto anche episodi, non rarissimi, di donne che uccidono uomini. Come se non bastasse, questa concezione demenziale lascia intendere che gli esseri maschili in quanto tali dominano sulle donne in quanto tali: eppure, sappiamo che in ogni società realmente esistita le donne delle classi abbienti hanno avuto più potere degli uomini delle classi subalterne, e ciò a cagione del fatto che il conflitto, da che mondo e mondo, è tra sfruttati e sfruttatori, uomini o donne che siano gli uni e gli altri. Per un altro verso, l'ideologia capitalistica prova scioccamente a istituire una gerarchia tra le vite umane, lasciando intendere che la vita di un essere umano di sesso maschile valga meno di quella di un essere umano di sesso femminile: se infatti il femminicidio è più grave del normale omicidio e, dunque, del "maschicidio", ne segue sillogisticamente che la vita di una donna vale più di quella di un uomo e questo è assolutamente paradossale, giacché ogni vita umana è egualmente sacra, che sia di un uomo o di una donna, di un bianco o di un nero. L'obiettivo malcelato è quello di annientare l'unità del genere umano producendo un differenzialismo radicale, buono ad alimentare conflitti orizzontali all'interno della medesima classe e buono altresì a negare l'esistenza dell'odierna lotta necessaria del genere umano unitariamente inteso contro il sistema capitalistico. Finché una donna sfruttata penserà che il suo nemico sia l'uomo anche lui sfruttato e non invece lo sfruttatore che sfrutta entrambi, uomo o donna che sia, il capitalismo trionferà in contrastato. Di tutto questo discorso ovviamente non vi è traccia nelle parole del generale Vannacci: come spesso accade, egli critica gli effetti del mondo al rovescio di cui condivide tuttavia le cause, in questo caso il capitalismo e il neoliberismo annesso.
