Interesting video. Robin Singh @locaterobinplus (of Peepal Farm) went around in a Himachal tourist town asking people their opinion on mass animal slaughter on #Bakrid Most people, who appear to be Hindus, remain vague about their opinion or stay away from commenting although most say they generally oppose animal cruelty Many of them admit to eating meat and then laugh calling themselves hypocrites My takeaway: they are meek to take a stand openly and too addicted to change their lifestyle according to what they feel is right

One thing to understand about commercial dairy industry of India is that it includes all the people who even have 1 cow and sell milk. The only sustainable dairy that used to happen was by farmers - before urea and tractors - whose gauvansh was woven in the whole farm cycle.

Giving up dairy junk (flavoured milk shakes, ice cream, creamy curries etc) is essential part of gausewa. Commercial dairy industry is biggest contributor of stray cows that are eventually illegally slaughtered. Gaushalas just cannot keep pace with cows abandoned by dairies

#DemocracyUnderAttack ? Koi samadhan nahi de raha; sirf bata raha hoon ki chal kya raha hai. Situation hi biased hai. Ek simple si baat hai, everything else being equal, ek sarkar ke raaj mein ek bada warg suraksh "mehsoos" karta hai. Jab log policies nahi samjhte, to wohi baat voting ka bada factor ba jaata hai. Agar koi aur party samaaj ko safe feel nahi kara paa rahi - chahe woh women safety ki baat kar ke ho, journalistic freedom ki baat kar ke ho, human rights violation ki baat kar ke ho - to phir to election ek tarfa honge hi.
