🗣️ “I decree and declare” In the Bible God decrees, prophets decree when God tells them, yet others in scripture ask, trust and obey There is not one verse where believers decree their own health, take authority over all sickness or guarantee they will never become ill or guarantee immediate removal from illness. Not one. In fact some of the goats like Paul had illnesses, Timothy had stomach problems, Elisha died of sickness & Job was righteous yet still became ill… but you’re gonna decree and declare a word and keep it moving? Not so sure about that approach. I’ve seen these types of decrees for 15yrs and the same people continue to walk in struggles physically until this day. People that are taught this often believe all sickness equals lack of faith, feel shame if they get sick, think God broke a promise (reminds me of Ye leaving the faith), believe they can “speak realities into existence” and learn a transactional view of God God can heal and still does. But He did not promise a disease free life right now for all believers who claim one. A more biblical prayer to consider may look more like this: Father, You are my healer. I trust You with my body and my health. You are faithful, and Your mercy sustains me. Please strengthen me, keep me, and restore me according to Your will. Lead me in wisdom and understanding of my body and what it needs. I choose to walk in Your ways and take care of the body You gave me.
