Taking a long break from beauty YouTube has been so interesting. People admit they barely watch content and also have shifted what they consumed, while at the same time wanting you to keep creating the same content.
I want to add that I know this doesnāt apply to everyone. And isnāt unique to beauty YT either. But itās just commentary on my own personal experience.
Iāve barely tweeted in a year. My content has shifted a lot and the space has been super healthy for me. I needed to pause, step back, and reflect on what kind of content I wanted to be making.
My IG content is a mix of fashion and makeup. It was a change I needed and itās been so much fun. Itās a good outlet and I really needed to shift that platform.
A good friend and I are talking about creating a paranormal channel together and Iām very excited about that idea. I first wanted to try this years ago. Itās something Iāve been super interested in for most of my life, and I love the idea of exploring it more and more.
With YouTube, Iām still trying to figure out what I want to do. Creating beauty content doesnāt have the same appeal to me that it used to. I might keep adding in more fashion and lifestyle, or I might just take a longer break. Iām really not sure.
Iāve been doing a ton behind the scenes for my blog - updating existing content is never ending. Iām working towards getting back to regular new posts there and a new design too. It needs it.
