I was so grateful (& emotional) to graduate with my partner and lovely friends.
Thanks to my amazing supervisors @lwhitmarsh & @DrCDemski 🤍

Huge thanks to my co-authors - Ryan Hughes, Kaloyan Mitev, @lwhitmarsh, @DrCDemski, Nick Nash, Tris Papakonstantinou, & Mark Wilson — a dream team of qual, quant, & ML expertise.
Thanks also to @AapsCdt - without whom Ryan and I would never have begun this project! 🚀
I’m officially Dr Player! 🥹
It was an honour to defend my PhD last week with world-leading experts, Geertje Schuitema & Nathalia Gjersoe.
Big thanks to my wonderful supervisors @lwhitmarsh & @DrCDemski, @AapsCdt, & many loved ones for the unwavering support ✨
Thanks Bath 🤍
So great to see the CCC’s 7th Carbon Budget published.
It was a pleasure to contribute to this during my time in the lovely People & Business team - & see our @CAST_Centre work referenced 🌟
Importantly: 1/3 of emissions reductions will come from household behaviour change 🤯
We have published our advice on the Seventh Carbon Budget. It is in line with previous Government commitments – the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Carbon Budgets, international commitments, and the Net Zero commitment in 2050.
Excited to have joined the European Climate Foundation as a Research Consultant!
ECF is an NGO working across Europe to foster #ClimateAction, & I’m looking forward to helping make sense of their public opinion data.
An exciting year ahead w/ this role & big travel plans 🌎
PhD thesis submitted! 🥹
3 incredible years – 2 secondments, 3 publications, 3 consultancy projects, 1 book chapter, & the honour of advising government departments – all crystallised into 80,000 words.
From undergrad to PhD, I'm so grateful for 8 beautiful years @UniofBath ✨
A huge thank you to my amazing supervisory team @lwhitmarsh & @DrCDemski for your unfaltering support always - and many other incredible people along the way 🌟
1/ Today the Prime Minister published my AI Opportunities Action Plan for the UK and committed to implement all its recommendations. A quick thread on why this is important, what we need to do now - and how you can help
Excited about @UKLabour's #AI Opportunities plan - big step to drive positive change w/ AI 🚀
1. Fast-track data centre expansion
2. Unlock datasets to fuel research
3. Train 10,000s in AI by 2030
Fab to see @matthewclifford - who I was lucky to work w/ @join_ef - leading this!

During my trip to #COP29, it was great to meet @StarkClimate - Head of Mission Control for Clean Power 2030, at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. I got to ask him about the UK’s role at COP29 and what it means for people living back home in Britain. Follow @energygovuk for more about COP29.

I'm so proud of the Carbon Brief #COP29 team for finishing our big summary of the talks
It's an EPIC 20,000 words of top-notch, plain-english reporting…

Excellent piece by @lwhitmarsh & @samhampton 💭
It's unhelpful to promise we can reach climate targets without 'telling people how to live their lives'.
1. Enabling lifestyle changes is essential
2. The govt should make changes easier & cheaper
3. Action can improve wellbeing🌍
