Exam season completed 🙌 thanks @AQAMaths for a significantly more enjoy experience than last year. Fair papers, happy students 🙂 now if we can just have some more writing space next year!
@ECR_Maths@missradders@DrBennison (plus anyone else who does AQA A level) I’ve put together three extension papers for my A* students using difficult or unusual questions from other exam boards. Covers as many topics that didn’t appear on paper 1 as possible 🙂
I'm sharing the data I have collected on maths GCSE/A level grades. Thanks to everyone who has shared their results from single figure cohorts to colleges with cohorts in the 100s. If you haven't shared with me yet, it's not too late. I will keep updating it 1/n #gcseAlevelmaths
Just starting to think about next years budget. We only have a small number of GCSE Maths resits, does anyone have any suggestions of books or resources that are worth buying? @tessmaths@Just_Maths @El_Timbre
Found out today we’ve been sent the wrong formula books for Alevel Stats and when we phoned up they told us it’s supposed to be the same as the maths one (it’s not!) so might be worth checking with your exams office @Trudgeteacher
Are @thetimes surprised that not everyone hits their full potential in education by 18 years old? So many reasons why people might get ‘the worst’ A levels, doesn’t mean they won’t go on to the successful. Exams at the age of 18 are not the be all and end all! 🙄
In state education we do battery farming/teaching , we do our best but if you want organic, free range teaching it comes with a price tag... With large classes and many needs you do what you can the best you can... And that's all you can...
Any know which old spec modules simple and damped harmonic motion was on? Doesn’t matter which board just on the hunt for exam questions and I’ve never taught it before, thanks 🙂 @sxpmaths@DrBennison@DrFrostMaths@TLMaths
