A woman was banned from a women’s shed for believing women’s sheds were for women. She currently has no recourse. If they kicked a man pretending to be a woman out of a women’s shed the shed committee would be dragged through a tribunal and fined. The way the Sex Discrimination Act stands now is inherently sexist and slanted toward the demands of trans identified men. We need reality and common sense protected in the law the way it is protected in the UK thanks to @MForstater’s bravery. abc.net.au/news/2026-05-29/w…

Australia’s prime minister, @AlboMP, says he will not get involved in the “culture war” of amending the sex discrimination act to ensure women are accurately defined in it. Fun fact: he didn’t dismiss it as a “culture war” in 2013 when he voted to remove women from the SDA.

This is Dr Monique Ryan, Teal Independent and Member for Kooyong. She is a crossbencher in the Lower House of the Australian Federal Parliament. Before her political career, she was a highly distinguished paediatric neurologist and the Director of Neurology at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital. She is a woman of advanced science who spent decades studying human biology. Yet, the moment she entered federal politics, scientific reality was completely abandoned. Following the Giggle v Tickle ruling, Dr Ryan actively condemned the push to protect clear, unambiguous definitions of 'woman' in the Sex Discrimination Act, dismissing the defense of biological sex as mere "political point-scoring." 🙄 How does a world-class medical doctor look at objective biological reality and choose to deny it you ask? Simple. 🤑🤑Follow the money.🤑🤑 Dr Ryan’s entire political machine was launched and sustained by Climate 200 - the multi-million-dollar political action fund run by inner-city millionaire Simon Holmes à Court and bankrolled by billionaries. Her campaigns have swallowed a staggering $1.9 million in total donations!!!! To unlock that elite corporate funding pool, candidates must strictly toe the line on the group's progressive "gender equity" pillar. The moment a Teal MP defends women, the corporate money dries up. 🧐Dr Ryan isn't acting as an independent woman of science. She is acting as a captive corporate operative, delivering exactly the gender identity orthodoxy her elite metropolitan donors paid for. Check it out. 👇

This is the staffer that Tony Burke flew to Spain, first class, on the taxpayers purse, $48,000, while still married to his wife. Later on, he split from his wife and married the staffer.

I’m a Brit, so no, I’m not pretending to be an expert in Australian politics. But from the outside looking in, it has been wild watching a country need a national humiliation before large parts of its political class rediscovered the existence of women. Honourable exceptions noted, Moira Deeming among them.
The Nationals have just introduced legislation to protect women’s rights. My Nationals colleague Alison Penfold introduced a bill this morning to define a biological female into the Sex Discrimination Act. This would let women protect their own spaces, sports and activities. It would stop us getting ridiculous court decisions like we saw in the Tickle v Giggle case. The Nationals will always defend women's rights.

So this old curmudgeon says that anyone who complains about Labor's new taxes is motivated by "naked greed". Not bad coming from a bloke who's been on the public gravy train since 1969. Currently on a lifetime indexed pension in excess of $400,000 p.a Sickening hypocrisy.

PROUD OF THESE GIRLS!!! A male athlete stole 1st place in girls’ long jump. But after officials put HIM on the girls’ 1st place podium, the girls took their own photo together without him. @CIFState @CAgovernor why are you allowing girls’ sports to be taken from female athletes? Proud of these girls for standing together.

“The decision is constantly referring to c!sgender & transgender. Those words don't appear in the Sex Discrimination Act…So when the judges say the law made them do this, they’re lying. It is the activist AHRC's interpretation of the Sex Discrimination Act that men can be women”

Paragraph 153 of Giggle v Tickle rules that "Denying the existence of gender identity" is now basically unlawful in Australia. I don't think I've ever read anything more chilling and sinister in a judgment from a common law legal system.

2/ What this case shows is that once you put "gender identity" into legislation you make it unlawful for people not to believe everyone has magic gender souls. That is a pretty extreme outcome and it's clear the case Forstater would have failed in Australia.

In Australia, women are not allowed to publicly associate free of the presence of men. Why does that remind me of Afghanistan?

3/ This is a frankly Orwellian position for the law to be in, here we have Judges ruling that everyone has a magic gender soul and drafting judgments on the basis such a contested fiction is a verifiable fact. That is extremely close to a religious blasphemy ruling.

.@AndyBurnhamGM wants British women to learn the same lesson Australian women have just been taught: your boundaries exist only until a man wants them removed. Toilets. Changing rooms. Refuges. Rape crisis services. Women’s networks. All up for grabs. A man this casually hostile to women’s rights should never be near power.

The Federal Court of Australia has ruled that excluding a man from a women-only app is discrimination. The man (who claims to possess an invisible female essence) said in a statement after the ruling: "I now look forward to getting on with the rest of my life in the community we all know and love. One that embraces freedom and equality for all women." As if this latest insane ruling finishes the deal: total societal acceptance and everyone lives happily ever after. He appears totally oblivious to the fact that his actions — and the actions of all men like him who feel they have the right to force themselves into women's spaces — have torpedoed any chance of acceptance of people who identify as transgender. In fact, the modern trans rights movement is the single worst thing that ever happened to people who call themselves trans. Ill-considered and poorly-written laws may allow men into women's spaces, but the truth is: all men are men and not a single one is welcome in spaces designated for women. And the social contagion of courage emboldening women to say NO to these men is now an unstoppable force.

If this is the case I look forward to the Coalition coming forward or supporting a Bill to repeal @JuliaGillard’s @AustralianLabor’s Government’s 2013 amendments to the Sex Discrimination Act. There is no other way to fix this mess.
The Full Federal Court’s decision in Tickle v Giggle confirms the original finding that the Giggle for Girls app unlawfully discriminated against Roxanne Tickle. The Coalition’s position remains clear: women and girls have a right to safe, private and fair single-sex spaces. That is not controversial. It is common sense. Single-sex spaces exist for important reasons - safety, privacy, dignity and fairness and the Coalition will continue to stand up for the rights of women and girls.
