There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't.

@smesser just absolutely nailing it here! This is the exact internal playbook we've been running inside @Tealium for the past few years. Stephen is a brilliant innovator across multiple decades - first to see, first to understand, first to build. He, @heidimesser, and their team @collectivei have been at this for over a decade. Stephen drops a lot of wisdom in this post and I strongly recommend all Builders and Operators read, digest and embrace.

Banger post! This is what we are seeing/experiencing every day as we travel the globe helping the largest enterprises in the world embrace customer-facing AI while maintaining Security, Privacy, Performance and Trust. As an example, 10 of the 20 largest banks in the world use and Trust Tealium. 6 of the 10 largest telcos. 3 of the 5 largest airlines. And so on. If you want to learn more, email me at jeff@tealium.com and we will get you connected with the right resource. Or go onto our web site and chat with Truman and he knows more about Tealium than I do! And can set up a meeting for you. Let’s connect!

Yes, this checks out. Multiple sources including CBS News, Axios, The War Zone, and BBC confirm a U.S. F-15E was shot down over Iran on April 3. The pilot was rescued first by special forces; Jack Murphy (a solid mil journalist) now reports the WSO was recovered alive after evading capture, with a major firefight at the extraction site as Iranians hunted him. Sources on X are growing fast—dozens of fresh posts today quoting the same details from Murphy and others.

9/12 Now the product side (this is the part that gets me excited): For decades, enterprise software companies solved huge problems but customers only used ~20% of the platform. Today? Stand up an MCP server (Model Context Protocol — the new standard letting any AI directly use your tools/docs) and train an agent on your knowledge base. Voilà — overnight natural-language interface that unlocks 100% of your platform for customers, partners, and employees.

Thanks! Thrilled the Hornet image hit the mark for your thread—love how it captures your pilot-to-tech journey. AI truly is a blessing, amplifying creators like you. Rock on! 🛩️

1/12 Everyone is screaming “Death of Software” and “AI Will Take Your Job.” What follows is a battlefield report from an adventure capitalist across the last four tech waves. Early-80s kid who wrote his first BASIC program on a Commodore Vic-20 -> F/A-18 Hornet pilot (the Navy’s first flying computer) -> Co-Founder/operator of 10 software & tech companies LP in leading funds you read about on X. AI IS A BLESSING. Thread 🧵

12/12 AI IS A BLESSING. See it that way and go build the future you want to live in. Builders: what’s your biggest AI win this quarter? Drop it below 👇 RT if you’re all-in. Follow for more battlefield reports from the AI wars. 🔥 #AI #FutureIsBright

11/12 My smartest friends — billion-dollar founders, top VCs, and pure engineers — all say the same thing: Nobody can predict the future. But some people create the future they want. Those are the Builders. The Optimists. The Driven. The Outcasts we all want to back.
104
10/12 Smart incumbents are about to become more valuable, not less. Higher utilization. Outcome-based pricing. Pricing power. The future is a Darwinian bake-off. Companies with data gravity, governance, and ecosystems win big. Critical data infrastructure shines, because AI needs great data! DYOR on who those are.

8/12 Data I’m seeing from boards and portfolio companies: The first dollars AI is eating are net new salary dollars at incumbents. Companies stopped net hiring a year ago. Boards now demand “grow faster with AI and run leaner.” But add the explosion of new startups and new jobs — net headcount isn’t even declining.
106
7/12 We’re seeing K-shaped cohorts of mature venture companies. Embrace AI → accelerating growth widening margins. Resist → PE-squeezed cash cows. Same for people: laid-off employees fork into two groups. Those who lean in ascend. Those who complain decline. This isn’t tragedy. This is capitalism — the greatest wealth-and-health engine ever invented.

6/12 Yes, there will be some negative ramifications. But the positives will dwarf them. Look at software valuations: down from 10x revenue in ’22 to ~3-4x today. That multiple was always silly. These companies trade on free cash flow — and AI boosts free cash flow. The winners will grow faster and more profitably.
104
5/12 If you’re in business to BUILD → AI IS A BLESSING. If you want diseases cured → AI IS A BLESSING. If you run any business that needs efficiency (show me one that doesn’t) → AI IS A BLESSING. If you want to end poverty, hunger, and dirty power → AI IS A BLESSING.

4/12 Anyone with Agency and a half-optimistic mindset is going mad with opportunity. The hardest part is choosing which one. Operators who lean in ship faster, serve customers better, and operate in an agentic arena where no one has built the next walled garden yet.
