Executives. Professionals. Six Hours. Full Vaue. Full house. Electric energy. Last Friday, @BrandHelp1 convened the Second Edition of the Personal Branding Masterclass; and wow. The room at Protea Skyz Hotel was packed, buzzing, and hungry for more. Thanks to incredible speakers like Patrick Bitature , Pumla Nabachwa, @inakasiita1, @S_Kahumuza, Waswa Moses & myself. When I planned a session on turning skills & expertise into influence & opportunities, I’ll be honest; I didn’t know if many people would show up. You know! You never really know until the doors open. They showed up. And not just to fill seats. They came to engage. They came to learn. They came to connect. Here’s what stayed with me: •The conversations didn’t end when the session ended •Real contacts were exchanged; not just LinkedIn requests •Eighteen people that afternoon told me they’d been waiting for exactly this •The questions? Sharp. Thoughtful. Better than I imagined. Time? Not so good! We went overboard! Not proud! But guess what! People stayed! Room was still full. Wow! This is why we do what we do at Brand Help. This is what I envisioned of my PR & Personal Branding think tank. Spaces where real growth happens. Where founders and professionals stop feeling alone in the struggle and start building influence with intention. To all organizations that sent in your teams; URSB, BOU, MTN Mobile Money, Legacy Hills Investments, Prudential, Node Group, Capital One Group & many more. Thank you. To our sponsors; @newmanfoodsltd, @EvolveAfrica1, @Etroca, Solace Graphics, Prudential; Thank you! To everyone who showed up: thank you. You made the room what it was. To everyone who wanted to be there but couldn’t: we’re doing this again; and I’ll keep you posted. And to my incredible team at @BrandHelp1; this worked because of you. Here’s to more full houses. Here’s to community. Here’s to turning expertise into influence; together. #PersonalBranding #PersonalBrandingMasterclass #BrandHelp

WARNING: Be careful with “group investment” schemes like maize farming or goat rearing that ask for public money. If they cannot show approval from the Capital Markets Authority, a registered investment prospectus, audited financial statements, and a valid license to raise funds from the public then it’s likely a scam. No documents, no investment. Protect your money.

Today, I’ll be facilitating a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session with surgeons on Personal Branding in Modern Practice. The best surgeons deserve to be known, not just by referral, but by reputation. For a long time, personal branding was seen as something for influencers, entrepreneurs, or corporate leaders. Not surgeons. But that thinking is changing and for good reason. Today, being an excellent surgeon is no longer just about clinical skill. It is also about being known, trust, and clarity of expertise. Patients are more informed. They research. They compare. They ask questions before they ever step into a consultation room. So the question is beyond “Are you competent?” It is also “Why should I trust you?” This is where personal branding comes in. Personal branding for surgeons is not about self-promotion or vanity. It is about: - Communicating your area of expertise clearly - Building trust before the first interaction - Sharing knowledge that educates and reassures patients - Positioning yourself as a credible voice in your field A strong professional brand does not replace competence. It amplifies it. Join us via @sugesofficial @BrandHelp1 #PersonalBranding #HealthcareLeadership #CME #MedicalProfessionals #Trust #Leadership

What actually is a unit trust? I get asked this often, so here is the plain version. Imagine a group of people who each want to invest, but none of them has enough money, time, or expertise to build a strong portfolio on their own. So they pool their money together. A professional fund manager invests that pool across a mix of assets. Each person owns a share, or "unit," of the whole. Why this matters for ordinary savers: You can start small. You do not need millions to participate. You get diversification. Your money is spread across many investments, not riding on one. You get professional management without needing to be an expert yourself. It is not a magic wand, and like all investments it carries risk. Currently these are the unit trust managers licensed by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) Uganda @CmaUganda; - Old Mutual Investment Group Limited - Britam Asset Managers Company (Uganda) Limited - Sanlam Investments East Africa Limited - SBG Securities Uganda Limited - Xeno Investment Management Limited - ICEA Lion Asset Management Company (U) Ltd - Genafrica Asset Managers Uganda Limited - Cornerstone Asset Managers Limited - Kura Asset Managers Limited But for many Ugandans, it is one of the most accessible doors into formal investing. Financial knowledge should not be a privilege. What would you like explained next?

There are moments in your work that feel less like an assignment… and more like alignment. I have the privilege of training the Society Of Uganda Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons on a topic that sits deeply at the intersection of purpose, people, and performance, ‘Personal Branding.’ For me, this isn’t just about delivering content. It’s about creating spaces where even the most technical professions pause and ask: How do we show up better; for our teams, for our patients, and for ourselves? Because excellence in any field, even medicine, is not sustained by skill alone. It is sustained by clarity, alignment, and intentional leadership. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a community that quite literally saves lives; while investing in how they lead, communicate, and serve. #Leadership #Healthcare #PurposeDrivenWork #Uganda #ProfessionalDevelopment @BrandHelp1

Proud to be part of this journey. Having worked in data and AI for a while, I’m excited about what we’re building and even more excited to share what actually works, beyond the hype. There’s lots of noise around AI right now, but real value comes from understanding where it fits

I’ve spent weeks heads down, not posting, not celebrating, just building. Nobody tells you how hard it is to build a business. The quiet days. The self-doubt. The moments you wonder if it’s all worth it. I’ve been that person lately; quiet, not myself, carrying the weight of something I’ve been building in silence. Today I’ll say it quite loud; I built East Africa’s first personal branding agency @BrandHelp1. And now we’re soon launching an AI arm alongside brilliant minds; the AI & Machine learning guru @CharityDelmus & @imaryo433 our business intelligence and analytics expert & researcher; both have pushed this vision further than I imagined. Here’s what this journey has taught me that no one talks about enough: 𝟭. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, not just the highlight reels. People trust those who show the process, not just the result. 𝟮. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲. Brilliant minds like Charity & David are proof that the right people don’t just help you build — they help you dream bigger. 𝟯. 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 — 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁. Business owners who ignore it are already behind. Those who embrace it now will define their industries tomorrow. 𝟰. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 — 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆. In a noisy world, the most trusted voice wins the business. Full stop. 𝟱. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲. Not every season of building needs an audience. Some chapters are just for you. 6. Your story is your strategy The grind is real. The doubt is real. But so is the breakthrough. We’re just getting started. Drop a YES if you’re building something the world doesn’t know about yet.

What a pleasure it was speaking with the @OldMutualUganda financial advisors….. I came to challenge a belief that’s quietly costing many professionals business: You don’t have a trust problem. You have a personal brand problem. In financial services, we like to believe that trust comes from the company name, the product, or the years of experience. It doesn’t. Clients are not buying policies. They are buying you. And here’s the uncomfortable part: If a client meets you and still feels uncertain, it’s not because they “don’t understand the product.” It’s because your personal brand is not sending strong enough trust signals. We unpacked this in the room: 👉 Inconsistency erodes trust faster than incompetence 👉 Silence is interpreted as lack of authority 👉 And visibility without credibility is just noise Your follow-ups, your tone, your presence, your clarity… They are either building confidence or quietly losing deals you’ll never even know you missed. In this space, trust is not built when you close. It is built long before the conversation even begins. Grateful for a room that was open enough to question itself. Because real growth doesn’t come from comfort, it comes from clarity. @BrandHelp1 #PersonalBranding #Trust #FinancialServices #Leadership #BrandHelp

Recently, I had the privilege of facilitating a personal branding session for the @BOU_Official (Bank of Uganda) as part of their 5th In-House Central Banking Course. The insight was clear: Capability is no longer the differentiator. We have built a culture that rewards qualifications, technical depth, and hard work…but quietly ignores a critical leadership skill: The ability to be seen, heard, and understood. Africa is full of brilliant professionals. Highly educated. Deep expertise. Strong execution. But too many of them are invisible, afraid to strategically position themselves; and that is the gap no one prepared us for. If people don’t understand your value, they can’t amplify it. If you don’t communicate your work, it doesn’t travel. If you don’t own your narrative, someone else will define it for you. Standing in a room of brilliant minds shaping Uganda’s financial ecosystem, one thing became even became clearer; The future of leadership in Africa will belong to people who can: • Think deeply • Execute excellently • AND communicate powerfully This is exactly why I built @BrandHelp1; East Africa’s first personal branding agency. Not to “teach people how to post.” But to help leaders: • Articulate their value • Build authority • Influence beyond their job titles • And stop playing small in rooms they’ve earned their way into Why? Because the future will not reward the most qualified person in the room. It will reward the person who can make their value undeniable. So here’s the real question: Are you excellent… or are you known for your excellence? My special appreciation goes out to the Central Bank of Uganda for recognising this shift and creating space for this conversation. And to every professional reading this: You don’t need more qualifications. You need more clarity, and ownership of your voice. And in this era, being exceptional quietly is a risk. The question for leaders and institutions is no longer whether personal branding matters. It is whether you can afford to ignore it. #Leadership #PersonalBranding #ExecutivePresence #DigitalTransformation #Uganda #EastAfrica #FutureOfWork #Brandhelp
