Swarthmore College Engineering is hiring for a tenure track position in our department!
We are looking for faculty who are excited about teaching in a general engineering program and are recruiting from a wide range of disciplines.
Our job ad is here: apply.interfolio.com/129575
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about what it is like teaching at a small liberal arts college, especially if you are coming from a R1 or technical institution. Many of us are here!
Had a blast at EMBC2023. Here are some of my favorite shots with Beamie the Biomedical Engineering Koala.
Beamie joined us on the ferry to Manly past the opera house, at the Botanical Gardens, and at the Women's World Cup! #BioMedEngKoala#itsgottobeSydney@TyreeIHealthE

Swarthmore Engineering is hiring for two visiting positions! These are two year positions, with a preference for individuals who can teach Mechanical and Electrical engineering. Bonus points if you can teach design and social impacts of tech: apply.interfolio.com/118172
Our department recently moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art science building, and new faculty members have access to multiple sources of internal funding for research support.
While the positions we are offering now are temporary, we hope to get approved this spring to launch another tenure-track search next year. Anyone we hire as a visitor would be in a strong position to apply for a future TT position when it becomes available.
I made a web version of my Obsidian To @tana_inc converter:

Everythings stays on your computer, but now you can try it without being a programmer. :)
Tana’s supertags and built in queries make it a breeze to set up multiplayer book club workflows that took me hours to do in Roam. It addresses most of the major pain points with Roam for me.
One other thing: Tana also has workspaces (like graphs) that can be referenced from other workspaces. This means no more silos and increases the value of working together because there’s way less lock in. 🚀
