Thanks to everyone still messaging me about @zinc_cash / $ZINC, and especially for all the support you showed during the launch. As a team, we worked tirelessly for months building ZINC from scratch. It’s been a life-changing experience to say the least, and I’m incredibly grateful for the results.
> ZINC is now among top 10 protocols by revenue on Solana, with over $17.5M in volume, 500K Arcium computations, and many other wins.
With ZINC launched and us absolutely crushing the first week or so, I’ve decided it’s a good time for me to move on to a new journey. I’m handing the growth role over to someone more proficient in the ZINC product and niche, to help accelerate it 100x from here.
I gave Turbine Cash / ZINC my absolute best, and I’m ready to keep building in the Solana space with a new team.

🚨Quick TL;DR on how stupid the @piggybank_fi situation is:
• bought $100k of locked $LAB tokens at a discount and shorted to hedge
• $LAB got manipulated, funding rates went deeply negative, hedge became too expensive to hold
• they closed the short, leaving the position unhedged
• $LAB locked position is now worth $1.35M on paper but unsellable until August 14
• result: 15% drawdown on USDC vault, 12% on SPYx, 9% on JitoSOL

Dear Community,
- One month ago, PiggyBank got into a new position for $100k (~2% of the portfolio at the time), as part of the strategy’s scope of deploying into mid-cap basis trades.
- The strategy involved purchasing locked $LAB tokens at a significant discount through a Tier-1 OTC desk and hedging that exposure through perpetual shorts. During the holding period, $LAB experienced violent manipulation, including chaotic price movements on thin liquidity, and deeply negative funding rates.
- Maintaining the hedge became economically irrational and would have caused us to cross our risk thresholds. We therefore decided to close our short to cap the downside.
- In accounting terms, the total value of our $LAB locked position is $1.35m at current prices. However, due to the illiquid nature of this position, Piggybank is excluding it from the NAV until the first unlock on August 14. Even though this is an evolving situation that could still generate substantial returns, this is the fairest and most transparent way to let users manage their liquidity.
- Accordingly, today’s NAV will show a ~15% drawdown on the USDC vault, ~12% on SPYx and ~9% on JitoSOL.
- A detailed report will be published next week with next steps.
