The countryside having a slower pace of life is one of the biggest lies ever told. Maybe if you're retired. If not, it's exactly the same pace of life except all the facilities you need are much more spread out, making it arguably more stressful.

Yes we know he's lost the election and this will never happen but it's pretty depressing to know that someone has run the figures and worked out that being horrible to young people shores up votes amongst the old. Must remember to guard against this dark impulse as we all age.

The constituency I live in (with a name change and a few boundary changes) has had a @Conservatives MP for 74 years, but I do think we are about to see a change and a @UKLabour MP in @WhitbyJmwhitby
