The Sun can say what it likes about Lineker. But Lineker never ran an entirely fictitious front-page story accusing Liverpool fans of picking the pockets of corpses.

The Musk Delusion
I take (possibly forlorn) hope in the fact that although Trump is a mendacious, malevolent, transparently evil man, and stupid with it, Musk is not. He is highly intelligent and, diametrically opposed to Trump, he has the welfare of the world at heart. theguardian.com/commentisfre…

We so rarely know the story of the people killed at our border. He was trying to reunify with his sons in the UK, and he couldn’t do so regularly so he had to use smugglers. If we had any functional family reunion mechanisms he wouldn’t have died.
20-year-old Osama attempted to cross the Channel with his father last month. The small boat the two Syrians were in capsized on October 23, while they were still just two kilometers off the coast of Calais. Osama survived, but his father disappeared. infomigrants.net/en/story/61…

Makes one wonder why you keep focusing on growth without saying what you’re growing it from, and for whom. If you keep extracting for growth, then you’re not securing a future for our children
I want our country, and our children, to have the security and stability they deserve for generations to come.

1. Who really won the US election? The fossil fuel companies and other polluting industries. We scarcely heard about them during the election campaign, which is just how they like it. Almost everything we *did* hear about was a distraction from the real agenda. 🧵

A new study from the London School of Economics says 50 years of tax cuts in the U.S. — which promised to “trickle down” and eventually boost jobs and income for everyone — have only helped one group: the rich. cbsnews.com/news/tax-cuts-ri…

50 years ago, young men concerned about inflation eroding their wages would have joined a union. Today, they put all their savings in crypto and vote for tax cuts in case they become billionaires. That’s neoliberal individualism baby.

Starmer is leader/PM & already doing this. Perhaps someone can show they care about anti-Palestinian, anti-Arab & anti-Muslim racism, genocide & human rights. You know, being horrified by racism & violence. Not even getting into how you're reading & politicising this situation!
I am horrified by last night’s antisemitic attacks on Israeli citizens in Amsterdam. My thoughts are with those injured, their families, and everyone affected. I utterly condemn these abhorrent acts of violence and stand with Israeli and Jewish people across the world.
