Many Canadians know about The Group Of Seven, but have you heard of the Indigenous Group of Seven?
Formally known as the Professional Native Indian Artists Incorporation, it was formed in 1973 with seven Indigenous artists to promote Indigenous art.

I am stunned at @benandjerrys post about Land Back and returning the Black Hills. Usually even the most “progressive” brands will only offer lukewarm land acknowledgments and stop there. Seeing a company this big tell the real truth using this language evokes so many emotions.

ALT A campaign to have an Indigenous woman on Canada’s $20 bill includes a Wiikwemkoong Elder. One of the proposed designs features the late Josephine Mandamin of Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory who walked around the Great Lakes from 2003 to 2017 to bring awareness to the problems of water pollution and environmental degradation on the Great Lakes and Indigenous reserves in Canada.

Reminder on National Indigenous Languages Day that the federal government is responsible for damaging and erasing Indigenous languages in Canada, so it should be obligated to fully fund fluency restoration everywhere. "Reconciliation" means little when languages are dying.

Lake Superior is actually not a lake at all, but an inland sea .
All of the four other Great Lakes, plus three more the size of Lake Erie, would fit inside of Lake Superior.
There is enough water in Lake Superior to submerge all of North and South America in 1 foot of water.
