“Womanly” jettisoned from the title. “Mother” not mentioned once in the 3 page book announcement.

You can try and pretend this is about “existence,” but more and more of us know this is an authoritarian movement. Lots of gay people just want to live and let live. The TQ movement doesn’t represent their interests. They don’t want people punished for not wanting to wear a hat or not wanting their daughter competing against a boy.
We are a grassroots group of women founded in SF, nearly half lesbian/bisexual & we stand opposed to forcing people to bend the knee to some ideology they disagree with.

Women employed in California are already forced to sit through sexual harassment training that tells them men are allowed in their workplace bathrooms.
Click the “wrong” answer, and the State “educates” you until you give the approved response. WomenAreReal knows the new hate speech trainings proposed in AB 1803 will be used to further scare women into silence when a man violates their boundaries at work.

California women are being trained to be quiet.
Yesterday, Kara Dansky testified against AB 1803, a bill that would mandate so-called “anti-hate speech” training in California workplaces. And sitting on the committee was @SenJohnLaird, the man who authored the 2005 bill that stripped California women of female-only public bathrooms, locker rooms, and changing rooms.
When women object to these trainings, we are not talking about “sexual transmission,” as Laird bizarrely suggested. (And we all know anyone making a Nazi salute will not swayed by an HR training.)
We are talking about women being scared out of reporting a man in the bathroom, locker room, or changing room at work.
California’s sexual harassment trainings already push this message. (see evidence in thread). AB 1803 will only make it worse.

CAUSE was thrilled to see @JaimieWhistle again in Sacramento today. Thank you for once again bringing facts and truth to our crazy legislature.
Our Co-Executive Director, @JamieWhistle, testified against SB 934 in California this morning. This bill would extend statutes of limitations for ex-patients to sue mental health professionals for "conversion therapy." Do we support conversion therapy? Of course not. SB 934 is a response to the Supreme Court's Chiles decision several months ago.
It is also a trojan horse. It defines any exploration of the root causes for a transgender identity as conversion therapy. Wherever states adopt laws like California's, patients cannot find therapists who will discuss the reasons behind a gender identity or comorbidities. These laws enshrine the affirmation only model.
California legislators know this. They just won't admit it.

SB 934 will make it dangerous for therapists to help gender-confused young people accept their bodies and avoid hormones and surgeries that can destroy sexual function.
In April, @JonniSkinner, a young gay man, testified against this same bill. In his devastating testimony, he said that after puberty blockers and years of estrogen, he has never experienced an orgasm.
Lawmakers passed it out of committee anyway.
How much testimony will California Democrats ignore before they admit what their cowardice is doing to vulnerable youth?
