A PERFECT MARRIAGE We mill our signature Stoneground wholemeal flours the old-fashioned way - by grinding the whole grain between two Victorian French Burr stones. Our millers hand-sharpen the stones every few months. This time-honoured craft help us create our quality flour.

Chelmer Mill was purpose-built in 1899 next to the railway line in Chelmsford, with its own railway siding making it easier to bring wheat in on rail wagons, and send flour out in the same way to wholesalers. The mill still stands tall, just like it has for the last 126 years!
