ALT This Scandinavian binational cohort study found that early-life antibiotic use was associated with IBD development in childhood or young adulthood, independent of early-life infection frequency. Infection frequency itself was not a major risk factor. Our findings suggest that antibiotics, rather than infection frequency, may influence IBD risk.
