Hugely impressive stuff.
It had slipped under my radar that 38-year-old Scot Stevie Grieve has been appointed manager of Helsingborgs IF in the Swedish second tier.
Grieve, who has spent time coaching all over the world including stints in Switzerland, India and Canada, was formerly an opposition analyst at Dundee United and head of scouting at St Johnstone.
Hailing from Perth, Grieve now finds himself in the top job at Henrik Larsson’s former club of Helsingborgs IF after a successful two-year spell in charge of SJK in the Finnish top flight.
An avid futsal player during his teens, Grieve is a shining example that you don’t have to make it as a professional player to forge a pathway for yourself in elite football.
