🕙Super visit today inside Saint Stephen’s clock tower to learn about the solution found to get the much-loved clock & monument ticking reliably on the correct time once again. 📏Fun fact! The clock’s pendulum is the longest in Europe at 65ft.

We're on the big screen! This morning we gave a deputation to @Edinburgh_CC on why the dangerous junction at Telford Road & Hillhouse Road in Edinburgh needs urgently upgraded. No tactile paving, no cones under the wait box & no audible signals means this crossing is not safe.

It was great to join the @EdinPolNW team on their roads policing action day. Today the team did speed checks & patrols outside primary schools. Very interesting to learn more about their work. A particular highlight was being allowed to try the handheld speed camera!👮🏻‍♂️👮🏼

Amongst yesterday’s Council budget drama was the crucial detail of agreement from every political party to support The King’s. This extra £3m, ScotGov’s revealed today, allows the project to preserve our city’s treasured King’s Theatre to start next week. So pleased🎭💖
BREAKING: The future of Edinburgh’s 117-year-old King’s Theatre is secure after the Scottish Government agreed to put an extra £3.85m into a long-awaited revamp, on top of an extra £3m committed by the city council. Work will get underway next week! scotsman.com/whats-on/arts-a…
