The research project that got the lab off the ground has been published in @NatureSMB 🥹. I couldn't do a better job of summarizing than co-lead author @jrichardalbert , so he'll take it from here! (and makes unexpected connections with our other recent study)
Any scientists who are on here to have an honest conversation about research, share papers, discuss science culture, etc. I think it's time to stop, and go to the other site. If you think you're here to make some kind of stand, I respectfully find that rather naive. #LogOff
Another PSA: If you (like me) are mainly here for science, but also really enjoy lurking in other corners (sports and politics for me), the other site is really coming into its own. And the Science discourse there is as good as anything since Prelon Twitter.
I will be keeping this account but will be posting more on the blue place 🦋from now on. Huge migration of scientists to there over the last week and it finally feels how Twitter did when I first joined 🔥
I'm not shutting down my account, but my remaining days posting here will be proselytizing: the other app has achieved critical mass, and there are great tools for discovery. Don't be shy! It's a thrilling time! (🦋/🦋🦋)
It seems like journals and research institutes are a little slower to migrate (except for @cshperspectives, obviously). But whoever is running those accounts, now is the time! (🦋🦋/🦋🦋)
Two opinions from two of my favorite follows (@HarmitMalik and @WiringTheBrain). I’m not gonna rush off here, but it’s true it’s tough not to feel conflicted about this stupid website
Heading to Munich for a couple days. Probably will hit up a beer hall or two. The perfect environment to get one’s mind off the specter of impending fascism

Just finished three hours of phone banking for @KamalaHarris ! Mainly voicemail messages, but I gave one Latino voter in Nevada a voting plan for Tuesday which made it all worth it. Thanks @DemsAbroad for the awesome organization so those of us in far flung places can help 💪🇺🇸
