God, where to start with this? ▪️In March, I was one of the first to call for national lockdown when Ministers were stalling ▪️In May, I opposed the lifting of lockdown as too early for the North ▪️In July, I was the first Mayor to agree to local restrictions Truth twisters.
You need to speak to your Manchester Mayor @AndyBurnhamGM who has been opposed to intervention measures all the way!

I have absolutely had it with the #andrewmarr and the #MarrShow he is so patronising. Constantly interrupts #lisanandy and refuses to give what she says the gravity it deserves and then lets #Jenrick waffle and evade. Awful

Sad day when a CEO of real calibre, integrity and deep local roots has to step down: ⁦@swales_martin⁩ from The MJ

It’s the utter predictability of the A level debacle that gets me. You have to imagine the meetings at which Williamson’s job was to ask if the algorithm had been modelled using past results, and what the outcomes were and what the problems were. Did he ask?

thank you @Melissa_Benn We have enormous opportunity now to invest in this emergent relational infrastructure_ a welfare evolution.
In the light of lockdown deprivations and loneliness, as well as extraordinary mutual aid and the building of local relationships, @HilaryCottam work seems newly relevant @TomGatti newstatesman.com/2018/06/hil…

This. Read the thread.
This is remarkable: 170 Dutch academics put together a 5-point manifesto for economic change after the C19 crisis, building on #degrowth principles. It has gone viral in Dutch media. In this thread I'll summarize the points in English. trouw.nl/duurzaamheid-natuur…

Utterly appalling interview @bbcnickrobinson completely let @PHE_uk off the hook. We needed answers to questions about the numbers, timescales and types of tests for #COVIDー19 tests. We got waffle.

Disgusting behaviour. I hope government puts in place measures to deal with future roles held by individuals taking these decisions, and also financial services that gain from the crisis - morally indefensible.

This is categorically not what @BorisJohnson meant when he urged businesses not to take precipitate action by sacking staff.

Aviemore Coylumbridge Hotel sent this letter to staff today. Not just fired but chucked out of their accommodation with no notice and no redundancy pay! @BritanniaLtd Britannia Hotels should be ashamed of themselves. Certainly no "room at the inn" here, disgusting.

@tesco, @asda, @sainsburys, @waitrose, @Morrisons , @LidlGB , @AldiUK: Your staff play a pivotal role during the #COVID19 pandemic. Stop #CommunitySpread. Send home staff with cold symptoms. Do this every day, in every store. Or you're infecting thousands. END. /7

Exactly do, same happens to me all the time, and that, believe me is a lot of times

Yeah, I know the feeling mate. Every time I speak to them I feel I get told what I want to hear to get me off the phone and then nothing happens and I have to call back. Shocking.

Ah Vodafone... You'd think after already requesting to make a serious complaint, after telling me my line will be back active (3rd person today) they would have actually done it... Not good at all.

Reasons why @VodafoneUK is bottom of the @WhichUK list for customer service. 1) Most of their standard processes, proof of purchase, SIM swaps etc require customers to FILL IN FORMS full of information they already have, creating potential for error

4) Call backs, promises for “dedicated teams” to get back to you, rarely if ever happen. 5) Their complaints unit staff, don’t seem able to trust the view taken by fellow team members, insisting on reinvestigating each time.

5) The tendency to blame other departments rather than take responsibility is rife. All these reasons and more make @VodafoneUK the worst #mobilephone operators on the planet.
