A lesson in how NOT to communicate information on a sensitive topic. The @MEAIndia babus must get over their habitual tendency for obfuscation. The public is entitled to information that is timely and clear.
Been calling this out since Operation Sindoor.
In this case, a US Navy P-8 maritime patrol aircraft assisted in the rescue of 14 Indian sailors whose sailing vessel, MSV Virat 1, suffered a severe engine failure.
The Mission has learnt of an incident involving an Indian Flagged Mechanised Sailing Vessel Virat 1, off the coast of Oman, reportedly embarked with 14 Indian crew. Search and Rescue is being coordinated with the Omani authorities and vessels in vicinity of the incident.

राजस्थान कैडर की 2022 बैच की तेजतर्रार आईपीएस (IPS) अधिकारी अनुष्ठा कालिया का बीकानेर में बिजली कंपनी के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन कर रहे उग्र प्रदर्शनकारियों और स्थानीय नेताओं के साथ तीखी बहस का उनका एक वीडियो तेजी से वायरल हो रहा है, जिसमें उनका 'लेडी सिंघम' वाला तेवर साफ नजर आ रहा है, जिसको लेकर वह इन दिनों सुर्खियों में हैं।
दरअसल, यह पूरा मामला बीकानेर का है, जहां बिजली कंपनी की कार्यशैली के खिलाफ लोग ने रात को सड़क पर उतरकर उग्र प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे।
कानून-व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए मौके पर बीकानेर सदर एएसपी (ASP) के तौर पर आईपीएस अनुष्ठा कालिया वहां पहुंची। इसी बीच, प्रदर्शन की अगुवाई कर रहे स्थानीय नेता भगवान सिंह के साथ आईपीएस अनुष्ठा कालिया की सीधी भिड़ंत हो गई I
भारी दबाव और नारेबाजी के बीच भी पूरी निडरता के साथ डटी नजर आ रही हैं। उनका एक सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो रहा है, वीडियो में कानून-व्यवस्था संभालते हुए उनकी स्थानीय नेताओं और प्रदर्शनकारियों के साथ तीखी नोंक-झोंक होती दिखाई दे रही है।
1 मिनट 52 सेकंड के वायरल वीडियो में आईपीएस अधिकारी अनुष्ठा कालिया बेहद संजीदगी और सख्त लहजे में प्रदर्शनकारियों से कानून के दायरे में रहकर बात करने को कहती नजर आ रही हैं।
प्रदर्शनकारियों और आईपीएस अनुष्ठा के बीच इस तीखी बहस के दौरान माहौल और गरमा गया। सभी प्रदर्शनकारी एक साथ चिल्लाने लगे कि बिजली कंपनियों की लापरवाही से जनता त्रस्त है और यह उनका रोज का नाटक है।
इसके बाद आईपीएस अनुष्ठा शांति पूर्वक बोलीं कि आप लोग शांत हो जाइए, तभी कोई बातचीत संभव है. हालांकि, शांत होने के बजाय प्रदर्शनकारी और उग्र हो गए और आईपीएस अनुष्ठा के सामने ही 'पुलिस प्रशासन मुर्दाबाद' के नारे लगाने लगे। इसके बावजू अनुष्ठा पीछे नहीं हटीं और भारी विरोध के बावजूद वहां मौजूद रहीं।
प्रदर्शन के दौरान ही एक प्रदर्शनकारी ने तंज कसते हुए कहा, "मैम, हमें बहुत खुशी होती है जब आप जैसे युवा अधिकारी सिलेक्ट होकर आते हैं, लेकिन आपका यह व्यवहार सही नहीं है कि 'इनकी फोटो खींचो'।
अनुष्ठा कालिया का जन्म 18 नवंबर 1997 को हुआ था। दिल्ली की रहने वाली अनुष्ठा कालिया का जन्म 18 नवंबर 1997 को हुआ था।
उन्होंने महज 24 वर्ष की उम्र में साल 2021 में 143वीं रैंक के साथ यूपीएससी पास की थी और हाल ही में अपने बैचमेट व आईपीएस पति विशाल जांगिड़ से शादी के बाद एजीएमयूटी (AGMUT) से अपना कैडर ट्रांसफर कराकर राजस्थान आई हैं।
