At this stage, @votetimscott continues to jeopardize the GOP majority in the U.S. Senate by refusing to take the steps necessary for reform at the @NRSC which include hiring competent communications officials rather than Cornyn/Cassidy losers like @joannamrod It’s hurting Susan Collins, Dan Sullivan, Ashley Hinson, Michael Whatley, Jon Husted, and the rest of the battleground Republican candidates. So sad.

Actually…. As we reported yesterday, the contours of the emerging deal as the Trump administration has made abundantly clear have measurable benchmarks that are required to be met before Iran gets anything in terms of sanctions relief or unfrozen assets. So what Trump and Vance have accomplished here is something Obama never could which is the USA gets to tie measurable success on this front to moving forward with Iran getting financial incentives— what Obama did was just give Iran big pallets of cash and hope Iran complied with their promises. What Trump and Vance are doing is making it so Iran doesn’t get the cash until they comply with their promises. More info here: breitbart.com/politics/2026/…
JD Vance: "They (Iran regime) are committing to never develop nuclear weapons. That is a significant concession" FACT CHECK ; They have claimed for the last 47 years that they are not and never will seek a nuclear weapon. They've been lying. This is no concession at all!!!

With a number of my colleagues, we had a 1 hr conference call with a Senior Administration Official - who outlined the terms of the MOU with Iran 1. Nuclear material will be destroyed and removed 2. Nuclear program will be dismantled 3. None of their money released until they perform 4. Strait of Hormuz will be open 5. No Iran funding of terrorist groups While still playing coy...note this interesting change of tone by @araghchi
The Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has never been closer. Pending its finalization, the media should refrain from entering speculation about its content. In line with our responsible and transparent approach, all details will be shared with the public in due course.

It’s striking how the same group of social media “influencers” suddenly receives the same talking points whenever any potential deal is discussed. They launch a coordinated attack, often spreading identical messaging that appears scripted every time a prospect of a peace deal arises. 🤔 Thank you for calling this out, VP @JDVance.
I'm seeing a lot of fake information about a potential deal to reopen the Strait and end Iran's nuclear weapons program. First, the Iranians are not receiving any cash, and no funds are being released for simply signing a deal or attending a meeting. The deal is structured to ensure that the US and its allies concerns are prioritized, and that if the Islamic Republic of Iran meets its obligations, then economic benefits will flow to them and to the entire region. This deal has the potential to remake the region and lead to lasting peace. I've noticed a couple of bizarre things in the reporting over the last few hours. First, people who (rightly) said Donald Trump was a historic president a month ago now criticizing a deal based on unconfirmed media reports. Second, people who say you can't trust a word said by the IRGC who apparently believe anonymously sourced social media posts. The president is going to get us a good outcome, one way or the other.

NEW: A senior administration official said on a White House call with journalists just now that the emerging Iran deal accomplishes all of the major objectives the United States had going into this conflict -- first and foremost preventing Iran from ever getting a nuclear weapon, but also setting in motion a broader peace in the Middle East. -- “We want the highly enriched material destroyed and taken away from the country. The deal accomplishes that." -- "The second is that we want to ensure a long-term commitment from Iran that they will not procure or build a nuclear weapon. The deal does that." "The third is that we want to include an inspection regime that ensures Iran doesn't rebuild their nuclear capacity many years down the road. The deal does that." -- "Four, we wanted to ensure a broader peace, both an end to this particular conflict but also assurances that Iran would not be funding terrorist networks and so forth and the deal also accomplishes that.”

This Senior Admin Official says there has been "misreporting" about the financial incentives part of the deal with Iran, and that Iran WILL NOT get any money UNTIL they meet key benchmarks of the deal. "What we've said is that we're willing to unfreeze assets if they meet their end of the bargain, but we're not going to unfreeze any assets until they actually accomplish some of what they're promising us.”

This official said there is a "75 percent" shot the deal is signed in the next few days, and that a signing ceremony would be announced when it is final. This official also downplayed the idea of any major disagreements between different factions in Iran saying that the system as a whole in Iran has seemingly bought into the framework of the deal.

🚨 FROM A SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL ON IRAN: Do we have a deal yet? "No, but we are very close." The official estimates that a deal is 75% there, not 100% yet. "While this is tentative, we feel confident that we will be signing this in the next few days.” We have agreed to the concepts and the details, but the deal is NOT done until we sign it. WHAT IS IN THE DEAL: (1) The highly enriched uranium will be destroyed — “The deal accomplishes that." (2) There is a long-term commitment that Iran cannot procure a nuclear weapon. (3) There is a meaningful inspection process. (4) Iran cannot fund terrorism as we work toward broader peace in the Middle East. (5) The Hormuz Strait will be open. Assets ARE NOT immediately unfrozen. Iran MUST meet its commitments first.

Fabrizio is the best in the business hands down
This couldn’t be further from the truth. @TonyFabrizioGOP is one of the best pollsters in the country. He nailed the 2024 election and has a sharp read on what’s actually happening on the ground right now. Also the idea that he’s not MAGA is absurd, he’s been by Trump’s side since day one.

Baris: the WH called me and told me to lay off DJT's pollster, Tony Fabrizio, but I won't. Fabrizio has done a terrible job. He's manufacturing fake polls. He's not MAGA. He doesn't understand how the average American views politics.
