Today we were aiming to deliver 350 1st Covid vaccines to our patients, we say aiming cos at the end of the day, we had 51 no shows, we despair, the amount of work that goes into organising all wasted. If you cant keep an appt, please cancel it in good time.

We think the computer equipment on the desk gives the age of this photograph away, it’s of our senior partner, who is a bit older than he was then! He retires in a few days from the NHS, all of us at the practice wish him well, he will be greatly missed

Can we believe that this was 12 months ago? Due to extraordinary efforts of staff and our fabulous patients we have managed to keep going and keep safe. Flus more than we have ever given, done outside and 2500 covid jabs done and counting. We just need to keep it up a bit longer
Coronavirus, let’s not panic, but we need to keep everyone safe and healthy , you and us, so no more queuing at the door please before we open, ring us and we will help you. This means all patients will be screened before sitting in waiting room.

There we are then, empty box. It had 195 little vials of vaccine, which, along with our colleagues, we have safely injected into 1175 arms, not one drop was wasted and done in a day and a half which for the smallest pcn in Solihull is some going, thanks to all our helpers!

Will we working as part of our primary care network help the NHS break through the 10 million vaccination doses given barrier today? All ready to vaccinate our next group of patients later. Oh and today our patient reference group chair is helping out, best behaviour!

Sometimes it's not about leveraging technology, but using simple stuff to get the job done, well and quickly. Ready to change the details as we gear up to deliver more vaccine next week!

Slightly bigger boxes, but probably even more hope inside. These are the Oxford/Astra Zenica vaccines making an appearance at our vaccination hub. We will be using these on Wednesday to continue giving protection. As a group, around 2,350 done including care home residents.

A little tiny box that holds so much hope. The fridge and Pfizer vaccines at our hub today. We successfully vaccinated over 500 patients ,doing it all again tomorrow to squeeze every last drop. Could not have done it without @ageuksolihull

Worked with our Primary Care Network last week to deliver first batch of Covid vaccines, doing all again Thursday/Friday next week. Being a small PCN means we are powering through our priority groups. Great work from all involved

Have been to visit Richmond Road Medical Centre today who will be hosting our hub for covid vaccinations. Great to be working together with other surgeries. We may only be a small primary care network, but we are mighty in our plans!

Last flu vaccine clinic done today outside as usual, cheerful staff and just short of 400 cheerful patients all done in 2 hours. Maybe we should be in charge of covid vaccines!

This is being sorted out by our National NHS colleagues so please don’t ring us for a prescription. Thanks
We are offering free vitamin D supplements to 2.7 million vulnerable people this winter. This will help support general health including bone and muscle health, for people who have been spending more time indoors than usual. Find out more 👇
