At the @NRBMwOfficial offices in Area 3 trying to get my daughter's birth certificate reprinted. It's a few minutes before 2pm, yet officers are still nowhere to be seen after lunch while hundreds of Malawians remain trapped in endless queues. 1/3

This is the everyday face of dysfunction in our public service: a culture where citizens' time means nothing. We lament underdevelopment, but how can a country move forward when basic government services grind to a halt because public servants simply don't show up on time? 2/3

The @CFTCMalawi has once again shown that regulation is not supposed to be a spectator sport, fining @StandardBankMW, @FDHBankMalawi & others for competition-related violations. Refreshing, really. In a country full of institutions that specialise in looking busy but do nothing.

Dear @FaMalawi, at this point, it might be time to retire the "Transforming the Game" slogan. The Flames keep losing & the only transformation appears to be in administrators' lifestyles. The results certainly aren't being transformed. So who & what exactly is being transformed?

And this, we had driven down the Thyolo road because he wanted me to help him write a song so we needed a quiet place from the madding crowds. So we parked just across that scenic dam by the tea estates. We didn't write no song that day. But we did the next day....
