I am excited to share with you our recent work published today in @NatureNano, where we developed a novel nanolithography method that enables the generation and in-situ readout of a myriad of nanometric topological ferroelectric structures. nature.com/articles/s41565-0… @ORNL

The process is automated and highly tunable allowing for multiple structures to be generated, edited, read and erased at a fast pace. Contact me if you want to try it out in your samples at checam@ornl.gov

1. We reveal a measurable electromechanical response in CIPS at the paraelectric state. 2. We map the local dielectric response along the ferro/para phase tranisition. 3. We discover an enhanced conductivity at the CIPS/IPS interface.

In the paper we present an advanced SPM aproach for simultaneous mapping surface potential, dielectric and piezoelectric properties on the nanoscale... and show its capabilities on CuInP2S6 van der Waals layered ferroelectric :)
