This is a union led win. A gift for @USSpensions members who are non-unionized, too. Just imagine how much stronger we would be were more people to join. There is much more work to be done and remember your employer will give you nothing....... 2024 will be difficult for UK HE

🚨NEW: USS contribution rates will fall from 9.8% to 6.1% on Monday 1 January - putting money back into your pockets. Your action did this. Your union did this. It’s the season, winning back our pensions, Merry Christmas everyone.

Here's another set of experiments that it took me 15 years to write up. psycnet.apa.org/doi/10.1037/… What's your longest languishing paper that you finally published or still plan to?

A very nice result, could be summarised by ‘A visual illusion that influences perception and action through the dorsal pathway’, see doi.org/10.1038/s42003-019-0…

Replying to @mcintord
The effect was robust to a range of manipulations, and was also shown by visual form agnosic patient DF, suggesting that this influence of pictorial depth does not depend on visual analyses in the ventral stream.

Pictorial depth cues affect reaching distance... from the depth of the file drawer. Somehow took 15 years to write these experiments up, even though they are sound studies with some pretty interesting findings. doi.org/10.1016/j.neuropsych…
