Your attitude about mathematics will play a big role in shaping your students' attitude about mathematics. Their attitude will shape their identity with mathematics.
Be open, vulnerable, honest, and curious. It's far more important than being correct and loaded with strategies.

Parent conferences: Talking about math…T:we’re going to focus on subtracting in the millions. Me: how is that going to happen w/o losing the number sense? S: I get confused with all the 0’s. @mburnsmath @howie_hua I feel there is a disconnect between strategies and algorithms
