CCC 2478: To avoid rash judgment, everyone should be careful to interpret insofar as possible his neighbor's thoughts, words, and deeds in a favorable way: Every good Christian ought to be more ready to give a favorable interpretation to another's statement than to condemn it. But if he cannot do so, let him ask how the other understands it. And if the latter understands it badly, let the former correct him with love. If that does not suffice, let the Christian try all suitable ways to bring the other to a correct interpretation so that he may be saved

The other day I kept losing my bracelet, and every time I said “Saint Anthony”, I immediately found it. I do think he was rolling his eyes at me, though. 😂

Well, that’s rude, Mr. Bot, sir. You can’t blame all women for the fact that I’m weird and choose to express my admiration for priests in an admittedly odd way. 🤨🤭

The lifeblood of the night-shift worker. This and the Eucharist are what keep me running.

This is not a tradcath position; it's official Catholic teaching. The fact that someone can walk up and receive Communion without the priest knowing they're Protestant doesn't make it permissible. The question is not whether someone can get away with it, but whether they should do it. Scripture warns that those who receive the Eucharist unworthily eat and drink judgment upon themselves (1 Corinthians 11:29). Encouraging non-Catholics to receive Communion contrary to the Church's teaching is a serious matter. You should repent of spreading this error and correct it before leading others astray.
Daily reminder.

Trust me, I’ve done the delaying thing it’s not fun. It’s better just to go.
Pride says: hide it. Fear says: delay it. Grace says: confess it.

I may or may not have found a rabbit hole to jump down. I've discovered something called charisms, and the intrigue is... intriguing. The last time I went down a rabbit hole like this, it was the Eucharist, and I became Catholic. 😂

OMG, yes. It’s really awkward. I love my family, but we have a lot of issues. Life hasn’t been easy for us, and I want to keep trying with my family. But I’m Catholic now—that’s who I am. I can talk about other things, and we can still have fun, but I can’t do a lot of the same things I used to do with them anymore. I don’t want to be rude, so I try to politely decline. That’s why I think it may be for the best that I’m not always with them anymore. Even though I love them, I think the distance will be good for us—at least until I’m more confident and firmly grounded in my faith so that I don’t fall back into old habits.
Being the only Catholic in your family is rough.

This is definitive proof that the B only makes fun of Catholics. They hate us so much. Time to go crawl into my safe space now.

I just learned about the Cadaver Synod and, well, um... I'm actually at a loss for words. Apparently, in 897, Pope Stephen VI dug up the body of Pope Formosus, put it on trial, and declared him guilty of perjury and of having become pope illegally. The more you know, I guess. 😅
