Absolutely torrential rain, thunder and localised flooding last night in Surrey. Normally #metoffice very quick with weather warnings but not one in sight. What happened ?

Unhappy with @thameswater Last bill in June (estimated) way out so read it myself and submitted. Normally pay July and January- 6 monthly since 2009. Got a bill today (15th September)! Turns out someone read the water meter 2 days ago and somehow a bill was generated.

Chatbot customer service said I can’t wait till usual payment date as bill already generated. Customer service appalling. Asked to speak to manager and got cut off from the chat which wanted to start all over again. Appalling customer service!

Just can’t speak to a person. I felt the chat person was not listening. Kept saying sorry for the inconvenience but you have to pay the premature bill

#bbcqt Nobody seems to have mentioned the money spent on admin. The #NHS is vastly inefficient. Management is really not effective and should be well pruned. There might be more money for prevention and treatment

I've been accused of catastrophising about the energy hikes that have now come true. Yet let me be plain, 'doom-mongering' or not. More help is desperately needed for poorest or people will die this winter due to unaffordability of an 80% SO FAR energy price cap hike.

Getting really frustrated with #virginmedia. Such poor service. Agreed to send a Hub3 as not getting speed I paid for after trying to sell a not needed upgrade. Didn’t arrive! System glitch. Now on phone another hour and they don’t want to send it now

It really is very simple @sajidjavid @RishiSunak @NHSEngland @DHSCgovuk - if you want to reverse the #doesntpaytostay narrative, you actually need to FIX the root cause - punitive pension taxation & erroneous pension rules that do not reward working beyond retirement RT if agree

GPs are being accused of much. But did you know they get £150 per patient per year for 8 appointments. This would buy you ONE private Face to Face GP appointment, or 2.5 remote private GP appointments. It would not cover the yearly insurance cost for a hamster (£180)

In Scotland, wearing a mask is still compulsory. One small, simple act of courtesy to others. #WearAMask

The reason people should #WearAMask is to protect others, not themselves. While it may no longer be compulsory, those who choose not to in enclosed spaces are being selfish. Please don’t just think of yourselves

The #Government did not act to close borders to India until the #DeltaVariant became a variant of concern. When the waves recede as a prelude to a Tsunami you get to high ground immediately. You don’t wait around for the Tsunami to hit. Why didn’t close our borders earlier?

Fellow professionals: if you were suicidal, struggling to get through 10mins, never mind the next few hours and presented to services - what would help? Compassion, validation, kindness and being taken seriously or being told to take personal responsibility and given boundaries?

Pissed off with #apple. I am the proud possessor of a #homepod which I bought just over two years ago. It stopped working one day and wouldn’t turn on. Apple’s response ā€œcan’t fix it buy a new oneā€! You would think they could have tried. Ā£300 when new.

Wonder whether @NikkiKF @rvautrey @NHSEngland and @BMA_GP have a comment on this: england.nhs.uk/coronavirus/w… I presume GPs will now be offered the same to maintain a level playing field and thus facilitate continued enthusiasm amongst my colleagues? 1/2
