Would a “cycle computer app” that was focussed on commuting and showed you the total CO2 emissions saved over the course of a year from time on a bicycle rather than a car persuade you to commute by bike more?

So… it happened we’ve been using @rw_products squirrel proof feeder for so long we’ve bred a race of super intelligent squirrels that can defeat the technology. I for one look forward to welcoming our new squirrel overlords

I know of zero startups that aren’t motivated by the fact that highly successful incumbents aren’t run by idiots who barely understand the complex industries they have made successful careers in. Shockingly some of these startups are correct.

German day ahead prices drop to -500 €/MWh at 2 pm. Yes, minus 500. That's the lowest price in several years, if I recall correctly. If you have a dynamic pricing retail contract, charging your EV will earn you smth like €50. epexspot.com/en/market-data

I mean I can’t conceivably imagine any universe that… limiting the amount of use of a website that is ad funded, or paid for, will be… productive. But maybe I’m wrong! Maybe the “600 best tweets and done” strategy is an engagement booster. Come back tomorrow to find out!

Dynamic tariffs are a must with renewables.
Today #UK #electricity wholesale prices are below zero for the bulk of the day. We need to bring in flexible tariffs (incl. grid charges & taxes) to incentivise the consumer to use this excess power rather than paying producers to switch off

This is very true. Basically, Hydrogen will hardly be exchanged globally (most probably through local pipelines) in the coming decades. And building powerlines takes a lot of time. Fossil fuels were easier indeed

A crucial property of the global low-carbon energy systems will be that the dominating energy carriers (power, hydrogen) are much harder to transport than today's carriers (coal, oil, natural gas).
