Asoleyo is re-imagining solar cells' metallic contacts, transforming a utilitarian rectangular grid into something beautiful. Our cells can be combined and rotated to make larger patterns, like ceramic tile, and are compatible with existing manufacturing processes and materials.

This man with a soothing voice taps rhythmically on a flat disc of copper with a hammer, until it becomes a beautiful cup or bowl. It's strangely relaxing and informative, and I ended up watching it for way too long.
