Remembering James Hunt, F1's 1976 F1 champion, who died suddenly #OnThisDay 15 June 1993, at 45 due to a heart attack at his home in Wimbledon. His death came shortly after his engagement, his third marriage. Known for his flamboyant lifestyle during his racing career, Hunt later moved into a respected role as a race commentator alongside Murray Walker. His death profoundly affected his friend and former rival Niki Lauda, who remembered him with: "For me, James was the most charismatic personality who's ever been in Formula One." #f1 #formula1

It was raining, so I was very excited travelling to Newbury Park Underground station. Outside the entrance is a Grade II listed bus shelter, designed by Oliver Hill in 1937 but built after the war I knew a puddle shot would look good here, so I took a shot as the 66 bus arrived

What a wonderful fox dad Elf is! This was him last summer playing patiently with his daughters. He taught them well to be confident and street- smart young vixens. All of his daughters are now fox mums themselves and “responsible adults”. However, every time they bump into them when he is inspecting his large territory surrounding the cemetery, they still wiggle their brushes excitedly and squeal with joy just like they did when they were tiny cubs. I hope you will enjoy this #FlashbackFriday clip. I will continue to share more precious memories of the wonderful foxes under my care.

TfL has recently confirmed a tender to replace its 29 ageing battery engineering locomotives: some of this indefatigable yellow fleet have components over 100yrs old. They’re not seen often (usually operating away from public services) so here are my snaps of L52 under repair at Ruislip Depôt, L27 & a consist of 6 locos readying for the night shift there, plus L48 on duty at Bank during the rebuild project. New locos are due at design stage in 2029.
