News to me πŸ˜‚ Credit to @kidney_boy for this observation. I wonder if bariatric surgery can claim a role in this good news? cdc.gov/diabetes/library/rep…

Congratulations and well deserved.
BREAKING NEWS The 2023 #NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded to Katalin KarikΓ³ and Drew Weissman for their discoveries concerning nucleoside base modifications that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.

Here we have David using this tragedy to advance a deranged claim and his own clout. This is grotesque.
There is a possibility that the driver of the terrible M53 bus crash had an adverse medical effect caused by an experimental mRNA injection. This needs to be investigated.

I think you’ll find that vaccines are highly beneficial. For example covid kills the unvaccinated more often than vaccinated and has done globally and at all time points. It’s just evidence, not an opinion.

Mr. Zeck has made an extraordinary claim (viruses don’t exist). He has not provided extraordinary or ANY evidence. Then he extrapolates based on his unfounded claim and expects people to believe? Unless it’s satire in which case πŸ‘
There is no proof that viruses exist. Therefore: β€”masking is based in unproven pseudoscience. β€”social distancing is based in unproven pseudoscience. β€”lockdowns are based in unproven pseudoscience. β€”PCR tests are based in unproven pseudoscience. β€”vaccination is based in unproven pseudoscience.

Excellent, yet depressing article.
Tech bro turned antivaxxer @stkirsch threatened to dox and sue pseudonymous influencer @DrCanuckMD, completing his journey to the Dark Side of antivax as a litigious bully. respectfulinsolence.com/2023…

Sample size increased and Mr Kirsch lost his previous result! Previously this survey β€œproved” his findings without a doubt, now it shows something he doesn’t like so it’s been manipulated. None of this is scientific at all.

Too many Ontario students are having to go abroad for medical school because they can’t find residency spots here at home. That’s why we’re expanding the number of medical school spots and putting qualified Ontario students at the front of the line.

This has been an anti-vaccine argument for many years. It is almost diagnostic at this point.
The whole β€œanti-vaccine” attack is old and tired. As you know, I’m not β€œanti-β€œ anything; I am β€œpro” safety, β€œpro” data, β€œpro” informed consent, and β€œpro” risk-benefit analysis β€” in other words, β€œpro” good medicine! #FactsNotFear #RightSideofHistory @Debunk_the_Funk @drdrew

CBME is a divisive issue in Canadian #MedEd. On one side the powers at be who conceived and designed the system. On the other are those that use it daily while also trying to practice medicine. As someone from the latter camp, I think about how we can make it better. A thread 1/
CBME results in MORE feedback - I buy that. I’m less convinced it has resulted in IMPROVED feedback. Is the quality and usefulness improving? I hope so…but am unsure. #ICRE2022
