Students and staff of Mesquite ISD: The moon has started its eclipse of the sun! About 70 minutes away from totality!!! Those eclipse glasses should be on if you are currently outside and viewing the sun!

I’m thankful for a team that is willing to meet over spring break to make sure the science professional learning session is high quality and leads to teacher and student success. So much of today’s success is due to the effort and intentionality from these two!

We looked at the framework for K-12 Science, examined the changes to the TEKS for each grade level, had some quality discussion about vertical alignment, and looked at what research has to say about a guaranteed and viable curriculum. Such a great day! (2/2)

I am so proud of the way our Mesquite ISD K-2 Science teachers worked during our new TEKS professional learning session today. Professional learning the Monday after spring break certainly has some challenges, but these teachers came ready to work! (1/2)

Just doesn't make sense: Doesn't make sense to punt it on 4th and 1 at pivotal point in the game. Doesn't make sense the take a time out...only to kick a FG. Doesn't make sense to onside it, even with 2 timeouts with 2 mins to go. Just doesn't make sense:
