Just a wonderful man and such a fine and thoughtful philosopher. His courage over the last years has been extraordinary and a mark of his amazing humanity. He will be so missed by so many.

Deeply sad to report that the wonderful human being and philosopher Professor Bob Stern died peacefully yesterday after a long illness which he faced with utter fortitude. Here he is in March at an event in his honour at Sheffield. We will miss him terribly. His legacy is immense

Hey @Eurostar waiting in huge queue for late train at Gare du Nord. To line up for the train we have been made to go down in an escalator and wait in a huge crowd. There is nowhere to sit, no water, no advice. I told an employee I I needed to sit down she disappeared. 1/

Second post got lost. Have been moved from the first queue to another. Still nowhere to sit, and requests for some better rationale for the mad crowding and queueing and no help for people with children or older ‘C’est compliqué Madame’.
