Replying to @PhiloPrison
"To be represented as Someone’s Daughter is an honour and a privilege; for me it is rich in my memory of my mother to whose model I vainly aspire. [...] It is surely important for all of us to remember that in imprisoning someone we do not throw away the key.” (1/4)

People should be able to take GCSEs & A-levels in every prison – they open the door to college, university & work. But it's not possible to sit exams in many prisons. So we must make sure that every learner can complete assignments & take exams too. tes.com/news/gcses-calls-mod…

I'm really proud of this feature in tomorrow's @tes: I talk to the experts about the impact Covid has had on prison education and find lack of access to tech plus policymakers’ failure to prioritise inmates’ needs means prison educators have been facing an uphill struggle

It's great to hear from prisons how our family gifts make a difference 📚"Thank you for taking the time to do something for my boys, thank you for providing the books also. (One of) my sons was showing him his book about the planets – he had it all bookmarked and everything!"🌍

We @PhiloPrison have been building remote work ( tricky for tech and security reasons) and there is a huge amount that could be done — we have been hugely helped by @wayouttvchannel @coracleinside and @PrisonRadioUK.
