ALT The interviewer asked: “Similarly, is there anything about the type design industry you wish to change?” To which, Monkey Type responded: “We wish foundries and design studios were more conscious of the environment. We’ve seen the equivalent of a mini fast-fashion issue going on – the urge to constantly produce printed specimens, books, scarves, toys, T-shirts, etc. This feels wasteful. We need to think of more sustainable ways to market ourselves in this day and age.”
