It's crazy that even with a serious AI problem on their hand (they don't allow monetization, ownership is questionable), yet, they still push fully AI video tools as if it's intended to help creators and will make the platform better when we know it's the exact opposite.

#b3d QuickTip. How to create Normals for your billboard smoke texture for easy relighting. Open your VDB, point sunlights in 6 directions(XYZ, -XYZ), give colors R,G and B and opposite color from colorwheel the remaining 3. Adjust volume. Then render with standard viewtransform!

My Blender project is unstable—lots of fur and verts. To keep rendering, I made a .bat file that runs via command line. Then wrote a PowerShell script that checks the folder and re-runs the .bat if it’s not active. Scheduled it to run every minute via Task Scheduler.

Now, if Blender crashes after 10–15 frames overnight, it auto-restarts in under a minute. It’s a janky fix—curious if there’s a cleaner solution. I've heard of B-Renderon and Blender Render Queue, but do either restart failed renders?

Little update on my time tracker in Blender. As of right now I've managed to get it so if you close your .blend or if it crashes, it'll pick up where you left off. I also have a "copy summary to clipboard" button so you can quickly paste an update (e.g. email to client).
