Back in early 2022, we started exploring @remix_run for the launch of second round of a massively hit NFT project. We reached out to the Remix community for what to watch out for, and saw that Remix was so new at that time, people were confusing it with the Remix IDE (for eth).

We have moved modernfullstack.com to Remix then — that was a daunting experience, given it was already hundreds of thousands of LOC project. We have recently moved Modern Fullstack to Remix V2, and the experience was seamless. Since then, Remix has been a staple in our stack.

6/ Our user management was messed up and it was getting trickier to get it straightened. Supabase had DDoS and other protections in place from @Cloudflare. That hooked us in, we migrated the project database live in the midst of all mint craziness.

7/ One of our engineers tested Supabase Auth and came back with "WTH, how can it be that easy?" We migrated Auth on the fly too and never looked back.

4/ We had arguments about why only weekend projects will ever use Supabase, and large production projects will always prefer IaaS (like AWS) over BaaS (like Supabase). Boy, were we wrong.

5/ Soon, our journey with Supabase took an unexpected turn. We were launching @SoullessCitadel NFT project. It experienced a surge in activity, which initially led to some understandable uncertainty – is it DDoS attack, marketplaces exploiting our platform, or organic traffic.

3/ When Supabase was in its first stage of growth, we recommended @everConfusedGuy to the team. He told us "This place is crazy. One day they are a database company, next day they want to be the next auth0". We laughed but were even more skeptical.

2/ Back in 2019, our friend Inès Bou-Abdallah introduced us to @kiwicopple, the co-founder of Supabase. He was raving about Postgres as a service and we were skeptical.
