Five weeks before, we did this, my father’s final concert, together in Long Beach California. He had so wanted to play one last show; you can see at the end he knew it was the last. The way he blesses the audiences and shares so much love with us all.

It’s about a girl who is a nerd at heart, studied computer science & synthesis at Stanford, and hindustani classical growing up, who was rejected by the American privileged because she sang in Hindi, and who did the work to overcome the traumas of losing her voice.

My music is about my immigrant dilemmas, deep love for Indian classical music, feeling homesick not just for a physical place but for what India feels like to me, therapeutically designing a unique voice in a world where we exist in multiple different spaces that have no overlap.
