While I understand the sentiment, this is bad. Everyone who is/was due for a renewal while the app is down, will have their subscription automatically cancelled. I'm losing customers and revenue with each passing hour. No reply from Google since 8 hours.

This is what the app looks like. Would you feel deceived when you tap the "Subscribe" button but get a 3-day free trial first? Honestly, I'm perplexed by how casually Google decided to hit a solo dev like that. (Particularly because they review every update but gave this a "GO")

In case anyone is wondering where the Retro Mode weather widget went: Google took down the app without prior warning because the "Subscribe" button only says "$1/month" with no mention of the (secret) 3-day free trial. They deemed this deceptive and removed the app. 🫠

Some more artworks I bought at #ComicConStuttgart these ones are from @moertel The two on the left are actually pixel art brought to life. Those lenticular prints use special lenses to give the impression of movement depending the different angles! Also a minimap of Stuttgart!
