Also, maybe not the most important thing (or maybe it is) but why tf is a Wisconsin governor candidate cheering for the Knicks? That's just like basic terrible optics. What are you doing?

Running someone who is a "defund the police"/ openly calling themselves a socialist, statewide in Wisconsin? Boy, that does not sound like a great idea to me.

Man,the DSA people are just going to go around and ensure we blow a bunch of winnable races and swing states, huh? What a mess...
New York City elected a socialist mayor, and the Knicks won their first championship in 53 years. Imagine what we could do with a socialist governor in Wisconsin? @packers @Brewers @Bucks

Things you are allowed to do if you say it's for Free Palestine: - Attack a woman with a sledgehammer - Call women c*nts - Make fun of how women look - Refuse to believe Jewish survivors' testimony of sexual crimes - Explain that women's rape and murder "doesn't matter" This has nothing to do with helping Palestinians. It has everything to do with finding excuses for the kind of misogyny and antisemitism that should be a thing of the past.

Saying Clinton has a “rancid legacy” is honestly a sign that the way we talk about presidential legacies has become too abstract and story based. The man oversaw one of the most prosperous periods of the post war era, through more than one bipartisan bill managed to bring the deficit down to 0, came closer than anyone else to Middle East peace, under his watch three countries joined NATO, was amazing on trade, and he greatly expanded the Dem coalition. That’s an objectively successful legacy no matter what “story” his personal flaws tell. Wish his wife won in 2016.
COLUMN: The 1946 babies — Trump, Bush and Clinton — are leaving a rancid political legacy, writes our @harrispolitico.   “All three are also the preeminent representatives of the generation that trashed American politics,” he writes. politico.com/news/magazine/2…

If nothing else, they're doing an amazing job of proving others right for accusing them of only caring about getting the blame for the things Trump does, not about y'know the things Trump is doing. But hey, surely that won't be a bad look during a very blue year, amirite?

Yeah, it is more than a little sad how the "anyone but Biden can beat Trump" crowd still clings to hope that whining about Biden will somehow get people to stop blaming them for Trump's win and what followed that. They should've learned from Tapper and Thompson's book flopping.
This @NYMag piece on the Bidens is bruuuuutal (and more than a little sad)

I do not find him to be a genuine person. He has deliberately poked the bear in terms of antisemitism at least twice now and he is smart enough to know what he is doing.

People keep asking why I’m still talking about Graham Platner after the primary. Democrats are being asked to ignore the lying, racism, misogyny, homophobia, antisemitic dog whistles, Nazi SS tattoo, still-active Kik account, and credible abuse allegations because “we need the Senate.” No. We need standards. More, and worse, WILL come out. And if it comes out after the July 13 deadline to replace him on the ballot, it could be catastrophic for Democrats. He is barely leading Collins while Maine voters are only starting to hear about the scandals. That's not strength - it's a ticking time bomb. And the way his supporters are dismissing women, excusing abuse, rationalizing racism and misogyny, and treating a Nazi tattoo like a quirky little oopsie is exactly why this matters. It is never a mistake to stand up for what’s right. As Dolly Parton said on The Orville: “If you do the right thing in the here and now, the future has a way of taking care of itself.” We can't fight Trump and Republicans if we become just like them.

Great watch, very perceptive. I've seen this exact progression occur to people here, people who I liked, trusted, related to, people who I couldn't have imagined would ever go this way. The process starts with small steps but always leads to the same place.
People completely misunderstand how radicalisation against Jews works. If you think it starts with hatred, listen up.

By the by, did the pod bro morons participate in this at the same time they saw Platner's lead collapse? Only asking 'cause they helped enable Trump's win in '24 and now it looks like they're enabling a Collins win in a very blue year. Sums up their political instincts, huh?

Someone said, they were not buying Lindsey Fifield's claims of abuse by Platner after 15 years. Okay... So I'm not believing Platner claiming PTSD is why he blamed victims of rape, his racism, etc, over a decade after it occurred. He said these things because he believed them.

Many who stood by Platner through his many scandals previously demanded pushing Biden out over a debate performance. They clearly didn't learn anything from getting the blame for Trump's win and now they're worried about their preferred pick botching it in a very blue year.
A lot of this is on Democrats. All their panicking about Platner is hurting him. They need to sit down and shut up, just like they did with Biden: Graham Platner is the most progressive Senate candidate since Ted Kennedy. If you oppose him, you literally support Trump. Simple as

I think it's the latter. I heard the same rumors as Mr. Frank and they all referred to a local woman (Maine). Ms. Fifield's allegations are from DC/VA.

Good lord. If these idiots tried to march in Gaza they’d be thrown off a roof. “Free Palestine” has become a virtue signaling slogan for leftists who understand literally nothing about Palestinian society and politics.

This is another example of how so many organizations are hijacked by partisan political activism. Regardless of your stance on Israel-Palestine, the notion that someone is expelled from an organization for not adopting highly-ideologically charged positions is troubling.
The Lancet, one of the most important medical journals in the world, published a petition today calling for the suspension of the Israeli Medical Association (IMA) from the World Medical Association (WMA). 1,150 professionals signed the petition because the IMA "failed to condemn the genocide of the Palestinians, the destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system, and the torture of detainees." The IMA has, in actuality, spent the entire war advocating for Gazans, petitioning the government to ensure medical supplies were entering Gaza, and demanding that hospitals in Gaza remain safe havens. But they're evil because they didn't use the word genocide? It doesn't matter what you do for Palestinians or how you fight for them if you don't use a certain word? What happened to "actions speak louder than words?"

The media clearly overreacted to the pardon because they did not take Trump’s threats to go after the Bidens seriously. Unsure if there’s polling but i would guess that today most voters don’t care much about it. Also: note how many of the loudest Biden critics have had little to say about the dozens of corrupt pardons by the current administration.
Hunter Biden acknowledged in an interview that his father’s presidential pardon of him tarnished his reputation as commander in chief and demonstrated that “he chose me over his legacy.” nbcnews.com/politics/joe-bid…

"One state solution" has got to be in the top 10 of masturbatory Western bullshit arguments. It's never going to happen. The vast majority of people on both sides don't want it. Why do we talk about it?
