Technology disruption is here to stay. Many business leaders believe AI can replace humans because it works faster, it’s consistent and reduces cost.
Here’s the catch: business decisions require risk assessment and asking the right questions.
What level of access does this tool have?
What actions can it perform?
Who is accountable for those actions?
Who reviews the decisions it makes?
AI is powerful, but there must be room for human intervention, especially in decision-making. Tools act based on prompts/pre-defined inputs, but the real question is 👇🏾
Who makes the final decision when business impact is at stake?
NEWS: Amazon’s internal AI coding assistant determined the engineers’ existing code was inadequate so it deleted it to start from scratch.
Parts of AWS were down for 13 hours as a result.
