Thanks to everyone who completed our survey. The results are in!
There was a resounding confirmation that improving accessibility of #omics data would increase its use, thereby maximising its impact.

Just back from exhibiting at the excellent #Microbio24. It was fascinating to hear about the breadth of #microbiology research and we learnt a lot about the challenges to process and visualize #omics data and where @morfdb could help.
The MORF team are on the road again for the @MicrobioSoc Conference in Edinburgh next week. Find them in the Exhibition Hall to discover how they can help you get more from your data!

How can we turn research data into a valuable resource beyond the scope of a project? Experts from @BiologyatYork created @morfdb and the bioinformatics tool is now available to others to help visualise data and compare data sets more easily. bit.ly/3PKUlxm#YorkResearch
ALT The MORF team demonstrating the tool. Text reads: Bioinformatics for the masses. Bringing the power of big data to researchers in industry and academia.
Delighted to launch the CyanoTag database from @mackinderlab now freely available to browse in @morfdb! Over 600 S.elongatus proteins were tagged with fluorescent protein to determine location, abundance and interactions. Take a look at the data here: morf-db.org/projects/York-Ma…
Only 1 week remaining to apply for this PhD project @Wallace_Lab@SBSatEd. We've never been able to offer a project quite like this one before - it'll involve microbes 🧫, some chemistry 🧪, scale-up 🏭, international travel✈️ and brilliant industrial collaborators. Check it out!
Not long to go to the @IBioIC_conf!
If you’re interested in an intuitive, browser-based solution for your data, please get in touch or book an appointment with me, Joyce Bennett, through the conference app. Hope to see you there!

I have an open postdoc in my group: embl.org/jobs/position/EBI02…
To work on either modelling or method development, but with a lot of flexibility in project choice. Please contact me if you are interested
Enjoying #OAWeek at MORF with some cool new projects to disseminate!
At MORF we believe that #openaccess means providing not just raw data files for bioinformaticians to reuse, but also accessible, processed data that all members of the community can analyse for themselves.
