A closed, moderated Discord is great for serious people and builders. However negative the sentiment on X; things will change, capital will return as the category matures, people will start to love crypto again - especially with agents. Broadcasting engagement on X is useful for accessing new audiences. Just as the advice here is to adjust your Discord settings to mute noise, one must do the same for X - use mute. Mute Coin Bureau @coinbureau
Just create the server already. Each time Charles posts out engages on X, Crypto media and KOLs have fuel for their X feeds. It would be 100% in Cardano’s best interest if comms is moved to Discord. Majority of the community will be here still. We aren’t ditching X. This is where crypto lives. But if they don’t have content delivered to them on a silver platter to spin, then they will actually have to work to find something to FUD. Create the Server, let Charles post there.

Have you ever finished a book and felt a profound sense of loss and sadness that it's over? a deep sigh at the return to the real world
Replying to @NickADobos
"book hangover" Apt description. those who read fiction know this feeling. I got this hard after finishing Red Rising, I felt depressed and a sense of loss at finishing the incredible world I was emersed in.

Many people compare Zcash and Midnight because both use advanced cryptography and privacy technologies. But they are solving very different problems. 🛡️ Zcash = Private Money 🌙 Midnight = Private Applications Let's break it down. Zcash was built to answer a simple question: "How can people send money privately?" Using zk-SNARKs, Zcash can hide: ✅ Sender ✅ Receiver ✅ Transaction Amount This makes it one of the most advanced privacy payment systems ever created. Midnight asks a much bigger question: "How can we build an entire digital economy where privacy is programmable?" Not just payments. Everything. 👤 Identity 🤖 AI Agents 🏥 Healthcare 🏦 Finance 📄 Documents 🏢 Enterprise Data Think of it this way: Zcash protects transactions. Midnight protects data. That's a huge difference. Most blockchain data today is completely public. Midnight was designed to change that. The recent Zcash vulnerability highlighted one of the challenges privacy chains face. When data is hidden, proving that a bug was never exploited becomes difficult. Even if a flaw is patched quickly, uncertainty can impact confidence. Privacy is powerful. But privacy also creates new design challenges. Midnight approaches privacy differently. Its core philosophy is: 🔒 Protect data 👁️ Reveal only what's necessary This concept is called Selective Disclosure. You can prove information without exposing everything. For example: Instead of revealing your full identity... You could prove: ✅ Over 18 ✅ Licensed Professional ✅ Accredited Investor ✅ Authorized Employee Without exposing your personal information. That's where privacy becomes useful beyond payments. This is especially important for businesses. Most companies cannot place sensitive information on public blockchains. Customer records. Medical records. Trade secrets. Financial data. Midnight aims to make blockchain usable for these industries. Where things get really interesting: 🤖 AI The future won't just be humans using blockchains. It will be autonomous agents. AI systems buying, selling, negotiating, and interacting on our behalf. Imagine an AI agent: ✅ Proving its permissions ✅ Accessing confidential data ✅ Executing contracts ✅ Making payments Without exposing private information publicly. That's a massive opportunity. This is where concepts like "Midnight City" become interesting. A future ecosystem where: 🏢 Businesses 🤖 AI Agents 👤 Users 🔐 Digital Identities Can interact privately while remaining verifiable. Another key difference: 🪙 Zcash = Primarily a privacy currency 🌙 Midnight = A privacy platform Developers can build: • Private DeFi • Private Identity Systems • Private AI Applications • Enterprise Solutions • Government Services On top of the network. To be clear: Zcash deserves enormous credit. Its research, cryptography, and privacy innovations helped push the entire industry forward. Without projects like Zcash, many modern privacy technologies wouldn't exist. But the market opportunity may be much larger than private payments alone. The future may require: 🔒 Private AI 🔒 Private Identity 🔒 Private Data 🔒 Private Applications Not just private transactions. Simple analogy: 🛡️ Zcash: "Let's make cash private." 🌙 Midnight: "Let's make the entire digital economy private." As AI, digital identity, and enterprise adoption grow, that distinction could become increasingly important. @MidnightNtwrk @midnightfdn @sabrinaliuuuu @Zcash #Privacy #Cardano #Blockchain #AI #DigitalIdentity #Zcash #Web3 #Crypto #MidnightIsComing midnight-3:native zcash:native

"The cryptocurrency space is a near-perfect complement to agentic commerce. It's so good. It's like we planned it." @IOHK_Charles joined New Era Finance to explain why crypto and AI agents were made for each other and why combining them creates something neither can do alone. Agents are non-deterministic, tremendously creative, and don't have rules by default. Blockchains are deterministic, rule-based, rigid, and all about proofs and provability. Put these two things together and you get a perfect neural symbolic AI system. The lines that stuck with me: "Agents are non-deterministic, they're tremendously creative, and they just go and do a lot of stuff. And they also don't have rules by default." "Blockchains are deterministic. They're rule-based systems. They're very rigid and everything's about proofs and provability." "If you put these two things together, you basically create a perfect neural symbolic AI system where you get the best of both worlds. Those rigid rules and proofs, but then you get the creativity of it and the ability to deal with ambiguity and semantic drift." "The cryptocurrency space is a near-perfect complement to agentic commerce. It's so good. It's like we planned it." "Given the fact that there's so much revenue being generated within the AI agents, how can the ecosystem make sure that liquidity actually flows into other protocols and drives adoption?" One uncomfortable truth about symbiosis. Five pieces of infrastructure reality reshaping finance. We cover: — Why agents and blockchains need each other — The neurosymbolic AI thesis explained — How agents generate revenue on-chain — Why liquidity flow matters for ecosystem growth — The creative chaos of agents vs rigid rules of code — How blockchains solve agent trust problems — Why this partnership was inevitable — The revenue generation mechanics of agentic commerce — How semantic drift gets solved with cryptography — Building systems where both thrive together Thanks to @IOHK_Charles for coming on @new_era_finance.
"AI agents will hold more crypto than humans within a decade." Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK_Charles) studied math, dropped out, built one of the only blockchains designed by peer-reviewed research. He co-founded Ethereum, walked away over how it was run, and built Cardano to do it differently. The man who has argued with everyone in this industry now thinks the biggest user of crypto won't be people at all. "Humans are a rounding error in the system we're building. AI agents don't sleep, don't panic-sell, and don't care about price. They transact in tokens because that's the only thing they can actually use." We cover: - Why AI agents (not humans) become the dominant on-chain actors, and what that does to every token model - The infrastructure that has to exist before agents can transact safely at scale - Why most current blockchains can't handle machine-speed transactions - Where Cardano's research-first approach fits in a world of autonomous agents - The identity problem: how do you tell a human from an agent on-chain, and why it matters - Why he's bullish on the technology but blunt about the timeline - What he thinks the rest of the industry is getting wrong about AI crypto - The one thing that has to happen for any of this to be real Thanks to Charles for coming on @new_era_finance. this is 100% adversarial guy digs up old ICO FUD says: "I'm your shining knight, just asking..." means: I smell blood, I pay lawyers to litigate replies to every comment. plays "i'm just curious" wolf in sheep's clothing, showing his dark belly. no where to be seen while we were building this community.
Cardano investors deserve answers. I've hired a crypto forensics firm to investigate the history of Cardano's founding, its original ICO proceeds, the movement of the BTC raised, and the financial history of the founding entities. I'm looking for information on: • The original ICO BTC addresses and where those funds ultimately went • The formation and ownership history of the founding entities, including Input Output (IOG/IOHK), Emurgo, and the Cardano Foundation • Salary, bonus, dividend, and other compensation paid by these entities over time • Any public or private disclosures regarding treasury management, BTC sales, ADA sales, or distributions to owners and insiders • Historical corporate records, annual reports, audits, board minutes, presentations, or other relevant documents I'm not alleging wrongdoing. In fact, the answer may be entirely reasonable. But Cardano raised what would be worth billions of dollars today, and I think the community deserves a complete accounting of what happened to those assets and how the ecosystem was funded over time. If you have documents, research, leads, archived websites, old forum posts, wallet information, or firsthand knowledge, please reach out. I'd like to build the most complete historical record possible.

🚨HUGE: HOSKINSON WARNS OF CARDANO DEFI SHUTDOWNS IN H2 2026 Charles Hoskinson says more Cardano DeFi apps could close in the second half of 2026, citing funding, governance, and commercialization problems. He also floated an “extreme” reset through proof of burn if the ecosystem fails to change.

If you're wondering WTF is happening with Cardano core development and how we build ourselves out of the bear market, the Essential Cardano weekly dev reports are a great place to start: we built this ~2022-23 on EssentialCardano(.io) because at the time the Cardano Foundation was doing what the CF does best... and @IOHK_Charles said: "we can just do things" I really hope relations have got better. I hope the CF (and Pentad) is repositioning for the ai agentic wave about to hit us. I hope banks aren't still their main audience. I want the best for the Cardano community.

long time coming! well needed redesign! anyone can do this btw - since most content on the Cardano (.org) website is hosted on github as its CMS. fun fact - Essential Cardano (.io) was born because the CF couldn't & wouldn't make changes or collaborate with the IOG marketing team. (circa 2021-24) probably solved now... probably. would be great to see cardano.org move towards greatness. perhaps listing a single github profile on the page would help in the age of ai builders.

essentialcardano.io was born because the CF couldn't & didn't have the staff to run cardano.org - weren't about that life, and didn't even have the access keys to make changes on their own site. github.com/IntersectMBO/esse… I really wanted to make this good. if we could have just used the cardano.org domain ranking, that would have been so much better. sad that it died.
