It’s been over 20 days now since I was mistakenly terminated by YouTube for spam, scam and deceptive practices. It’s been a mentally challenging time for me.
5 months ago, I had started my channel, excited for what lay ahead. I created history and political content. Very quickly I received 60 million plus views and was monetised by February.
I went on holiday at the start of April, looking forward to thinking of new video ideas and what I could bring to YouTube.
A few days into my holiday, I was struck by a reused content. I thought nothing of it. I cobbled up a video response whilst on holiday, and submitted it. The same day, the appeal was accepted. I thought, I have proven to YouTube that my content is legit, I won’t have any problems now.
Just 4 days later, on the 7th of April, I upload a video whilst on holiday. Next thing I know my whole channel was gone. Scam, spam and deceptive practices was the reason.
I was perplexed. I have NEVER engaged in activity that violates YouTube’s Terms of Service. I tried to appeal, I’ll admit I accidentally hit appeal whilst still writing my response. A few hours later, it was denied.
Since then, all I’ve got is automated responses from YouTube. No specifics, just the same copy and paste answers on Twitter, on live chat and by email.
All I want is a human review. That’s all I want. I’m pleading, please reinstate my channel. I have done absolutely nothing wrong.
