There is a lot of AI doomerism out there but the negatives are far overstated and the positives are barely mentions.
It’s already improving our lives and we’re just beginning to see benefits: saving on medicine, mortgage processing, fraud detection.
But for all the democrats embracing big government and pushing for to take a stake… if you hate Donald Trump, why would you want the federal government controlling AI?

Reps @JayObernolte and @RepLoriTrahan deserve credit for a good-faith, bipartisan effort at national AI legislation. If we want more members of Congress to engage like this, we as citizens need to encoruage it. Hyperbolic reactions to a discussion draft have the opposite effect.
