This is why I own a 2005 Ford Courier.
EVs all being so high-tech is a grave tactical error. Not everyone is a techie who likes fancy software and big screens for everything. A cheap EV with actual physical controls & readouts for as many things as possible, and minimal touchscreen reliance, would sell like HOTCAKES.

call a union meeting
A coworker died yesterday morning😭. HR knew by 9 :00 AM, but they kept us working all day. They finally told us around 4 :30 PM, then had the nerve to say, "You can head home early if you need to"—knowing we all finish at 5: 00 PM anyway. This morning, it’s back to "business as usual." Some of my friends are literally sobbing at their desks, but they’re expected to work and be productive. No time to grieve. It’s a cold reality. Within a week, the company will have his job posted online. Within a month, someone else will be sitting in his chair. But his family ,his children will still talk about him every day, they will ask where is daddy , His wife will mourn him for ages ,he was the love of her life . At work, we are just a "resource" that can be replaced in a week. At home, we are the world. Stop giving your best energy to a desk that will forget you, and giving the "leftovers" to the people who never will.

So an anti-communist socialist? 🤪
This is how I would save Australia: - Crush communists and Islamists, Lee Kuan Yew style crackdown on crime, social decay. - Completely redesign NDIS, save $30 billion a year. Use savings to: - Build 150 subway stations across the five major Australian cities. Bring the Paris/London/NYC metro to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane. - Build high speed rail down entire eastern seaboard. Brisbane to the Gold Coast in 15 minutes. Sydney to Melbourne in 1.5 hours. - Build 50 nuclear power plants like France - decarbonise our entire energy grid while making ourselves completely self sufficient in energy for the next 100 years. - Drastically lower migration, redefine national identity to emphasise that we are a Western country. Per capita GDP $130,000. Significantly cheaper energy, housing and transport. Decarbonised electricity grid and way less travel emissions but we refuse deindustrialiation and we refuse far-left efforts to dissolve the nation.

We should understand the rise of the far right as a Polanyian moment. People are seeking protection from the excesses of market neoliberalism and hyperglobalization. But like fascism in Polanyi’s day, the far right offers only bad solutions. We need social democracy.

This is just another story about old people being scared of young people
I have lived in Armidale since 2017 and work with young people. No one carries machetes but I guess it does sometimes snow so maybe people wear balaclavas. I walk home from the pub at night along the creekland and no one has ever bothered me. I never lock my old ute either

Abolish all corporate and individual tax concessions and raise $200 billion
"Chalmers has signalled he will use the 2026-27 budget, forecast to show a deficit of $34.3 billion, to target inflation pressures, lift productivity and improve parts of the tax system." Cut $34b from the $90b NDIS & disability budget. Done. smh.com.au/politics/federal/…

So you are also arguing to ban all consumer imports, and US companies like Google and Facebook sending their earnings back to the US?
Australia's 4th biggest export is Australian Wealth

Yeah because should abandon children and the elderly to low paid workers
Both the Treasurer and RBA Governor have used the term "private demand" today. Let's be crystal clear. When government subsidizes household spending (like energy or childcare) or mandates 15% pay rises in certain sectors this is government spending driving inflation up. Period.

When did 26% become an overwhelming majority?
One Nation is only surging because the overwhelming majority of Australian voters want to lower migration but Labor and the Liberals won’t do it If the major parties just listened to the Australian people, we wouldn’t be here

$MSFT just canceled another data center after community pushback. Having spent 15 yrs working in nuclear power and the last 2 yrs trying to warn people about the AI bubble, it's time to grab some🍿and enjoy watching the AI Bros fight the environmentalists. Have fun out there🤣

The US shows constitutions mean nothing if society no longer believes in the values. Freedom of speech is dead in the US.
